I don't see that as backwards progress. We have robots on Mars now, and a space telescope that left the solar system many years ago.

And thew whole world watches that in Awe? then we were pushing frontiers now we are just tinkering at the edges with nothing to grab people and no goals beyond the next quarters bottom line

I'd have never believed that all of those damned zombies ( Especially the animals- am i right? How aggravating!) could be "transitioned" into helpful, productive and afforadable Cyborg servants. Wait... what year is this?
