Exiled #1 Preview: JiM/NM Crossover

JiM is my favorite Marvel book and Gillen is Marvel's best writer currently working, IMO.

So this will get a read from me.

I'm not a fan of the current New Mutants book but I'll pick up the tie ins anyway.

Well, NM is not a great book. I just follow it because the team has always been an intriguing one to me.

I can understand their hesitation. I hesitated on preordering Exiled because it crosses over with JIM - a book I hate. But, I decided to pull the trigger anyway because I just feel like the story'd be too choppy and I'd miss something if I skipped the JIM bits. I may not even be able to get through the JIM books honestly, but at least I'll have them in my possession

It really bums me out. It's my favorite team and my second-favorite team book at the moment. I honestly do not understand the hate, outside of the pacing.
I completely agree that every arc of DnA's run has been an issue longer than necessary.

It is one of my favorite groups too, but Marvel should understand that it is time to change the writer, for someone who can exploit the potential of the group.

What's disappointing is that they've got a great handle on the characters, but the larger stories aren't anything to write home about.

Still, I am pretty optimistic about Exiled and the next arc, even if it sorta sounds like the book might be ending.

Hmm, interesting. Going from the full spread cover we've seen where the neighbor is right by Bor and Loki along with the narration we get in these pages, I'm guessing this neighbor is in fact an Asgardian from Bor's time. Perhaps a survivor from one of the feedings when they lived.

I have to say I loved getting another look at Loki and Leah bringing one of the puppies to Dani. Her dressed up in that fake Hela get-up is hilarious. Ah, I'm going to miss her.

I think I'll get it as it looks interesting and I do want to know how things go for the Disir.
