Default Nubia as a villain in Young Justice Invasion??!!!

It seems to me that she is a member of the Illuminatti masterminds of evil, The Light.

    With "African" earrings and all...

Ahhhh that is better... Queen Bee hadn't still made her appearance in the episodes that I've seen. Thanks for the info folks!!!

But the headpiece is still very reminiscent of the Diadems's design. Maybe it's more than simple coincidence?

IMO it seems that there is too much of a resemblance between the two character designs.

Maybe Greg Weisman and CIA have made a blend between the two characters, remembering that the original concept of the Amazons emphasized "loving submission" towards the Queen?

It doesn't see to me that the designers of the Cartoon are fond of recycling the same designs... Has she already appeared in action? The physical resemblance to Diana is so apparent as these two pictures added to the this thread seem to suggest?

Yes Queen Bee has already appeared multiple time in the first season of the cartoon. And Weisman and Vietti are definitely not taking inspiration from Nubia; Queen Bee is Middle-Eastern not African and definitely has no relations to the Amazons.

In action or simply as a mysterious person in a screen ? I have seem the first 17 episodes and so far I've seen her only in this same position.

Since that her apperances are in later episodes (as I have been informed right now) even so I must say: it seems to me that they recycled Diana's visual without any obvious reason whatsoever. Maybe they originaly WANTED to use a Wonder Woman related character? It seems feasible since that the Light is composed of some arch-enemies of each member of the League...

If you keep insisting you're probably going to convince us that it's Nubia and not Queen Bee. Now that's what i call brainwashing!

These arent the droids you're looking for and all that.

Yes she has appeared in action and not nearly on screen. And her appearance is not a recycle of Wonder Woman's. And no, Weisman and Vietti just chose who they wanted to be members of The Light.

Even so the headpiece and the angular features of the face are very similar.

Too much similar, IMHO, as also were Diana's tiara and Shim'tar's prismatic diadem besides of her still hidden features together with the physical build and curly hair.

One idea doesn't necessarily preclude the other but thanks for the feedback. It was much appreciated.!!!

It's the design style. All men look about the same and all women look about the same. There's nothing more to it. Here's Black Canary. Give her black hair and she's identical to WW.

    Hey!
I just noticed Black Canary has a cleavage!

it seems very reminiscent of Wonder Woman, I wonder if that is not just a coincidence.

Yes, I recognize the common indebtedness of Laura Montgomery's influence in the design but the similar headpiece, including a pattern in the same place and size of the star in the tiara, IMO, indicates that they might have used WW's specific design to some extent. Maybe it was a scratched idea?

And, I'm sorry but looking to this picture I'm observing that there is a design resemblance as you all have said but the defining proportions are realy reminiscent of Diana's design to a larger extent than that can be found in Black Canary's features.

Whatever, it's a moot point by now , but thanks again. Anyways, Queen Bee never used this kind of diadem in the comics and neither possessed black skin, both features presented by her animated counterpart.

And, Eliseu Gouveia, your attitude in the thread could have been a bit more gracious in spite of your dissenting opinion as I have been towards your personal views about design and characterization. I'd think that you would be above this kind of low derision. Sadly, I was mistaken about this.
