As if "The Avengers'" early tracking wasn't already impressive enough, the Joss Whedon-directed action film has now pre-sold more tickets than all the previous Marvel releases [em]combined[/em].

My only fear? Pre-blockbuster malaise. It always happens. Will have to counter it with.....more viewings of the movie!

I had to buy tix for Avengers in 3D after reading Bleeding Cool and some of the overseas reviews concerning 2D vs 3D.

Too bad IMAX 3D tickets are not on sale yet.

Shit. I'm scared now. I was hoping to see it on IMAX tomorrow, but one of the showings is sold out already. If the other one goes, I'll have to watch it on a normal screen. Dammit.

I will have to wait to see whether or not my wife comes back home after her hip replacement on Thursday or Friday before I can decide if I will try to catch a midnight showing of Avengers.

really! Everything I'd heard said the 3D was pretty "meh" at best...

I consider regular 3D to be inferior to regular 2D. But IMAX 3D is superb.

I ordered mine about a week ago for IMAX 3D. I just hope the midnight showing isn't too crazy.

Most people that have seen The Avengers in BOTH 2D and 3D say they prefer the 3D version.

You can find a couple reviews of the 3D on Google now.

Apparently the last 40 minutes of the film is a must see in 3D.

2D screenings are scarce in NYC. I got four tickets for a Saturday show a week ago. Pretty stoked.

I had to buy my ticket a week in advance to see it on opening day in Australia. A lot of people missed out.

What's going on in Tampa? If it sounds interesting enough I might have to make a trip.
