Yes, but how did they get that way?

Jor didn't seem to know about the uber-enhancements. Enhancements, sure, but nowhere near the level his son and niece have displayed.

Zor seemed to know more but it's unclear (yet) how he came about this knowledge.

The Collector didn't care but did have some forms of compensators to counter the enhancements - they didn't work, though.

Helspont seems to be aware of something 'special' about Kryptonians and has strongly implied that there's a link between Daemonites and Kryptonians (it may be that they're offshoots of the same engineering programme...and whilst Kryptonians (generally) turned their attentions inwards and towards Krypton, Daemonites sought conquest)

Well, being a new member... don't I have to do something special first, like sing a song from a Gilbert & Sullivan musical or eat worms or something like that? I'm not dancing, that's for sure.

Right now I think I agree about not enough coordination, I'm a bit worried about yet another change of writers on Superman. I hope someone is actually in charge and there's a plan in the Superman offices, it's feeling a little out of control due to the musical chairs. I want to think that it's all tied together, that there's this big master scheme that overlays all the Superman family stories, but right now it's feeling like the bus is going into the ditch.

Anyway.... With New Gods and Daemonites interested in the Kryptonians, the story elements in Supergirl and Superboy that there's been a lot of failed cloning attempts on Krypton, the hints that the World Killers that showed up in Supergirl are a modern attempt at replicating something much more ancient, and the implication that Supergirl herself has been modified and may be the fifth World Killer, it all seems to indicate that maybe there's more to Kryptonians, that maybe there's more engineering than nature in what they become under a yellow sun. If I were writing it the red sun would be the key, not the yellow one.

At least I'm hoping so. Anyway, more than that is more rampant speculation than is appropriate for a newbie. I'm hoping the connections I'm seeing aren't just a coincidence or (more likely) overzealous fan-wank pattern matching on my part.
