AvX has been disappointing the hell out of me so far (aside from you, Gillen!) but I'm going to try to give the writers some credit and call this a trap Scott designed. Surge, Dust AND Pixie get left behind and couldn't work out a way to escape? I'm not buying it for a second: they are there because that's exactly where they are supposed to be.

Which would not end well for anyone X-men or Avenger involved as it would be making the public mad at them some more.

Do you include the finer details or do you leave them out to encourage the actual purchase?

He tells him how many babies Cyclops eats per issue.

I filter it through my own personal lens of introspection. I buy two copies of everything to ensure no loss of revenue.

Chewing the details and then spitting them out for CMBMOOL to consume. Admirable, not everyone can handle the full weight of these books.

Is Magneto going to appreciate being used as a threat? I can't see that he would like the thought that Scott would pussy out at the last moment and say he was just bluffing.

Magneto's on the team, and in that same classic costume, mostly because it contributes to the "threat".
no one would buy the idea that Iceman would destroy an entire city, or Storm, both of whom are more then capable of it in terms of power.
    Magneto on the other hand...

    its part of the bluff

He is not declaring war on the Avengers He is telling the world that the Avengers declared war on him and that they don't need to worry because he was bluffing abut responding with full force.

The fear is unjustified becasue all of humanity would have been dead countless times without the mutants.

As someone asked what X-books do you read?
