It's exactly what Cable warned Cyclops of in X-Sanction. Just when it seemed like the X-men were being set up as the bad guys, the Avengers stop playing nice. It may be unpatriotic, but I love it!
except Wolverine isn't being rational about it, despite the knowledge. Is killing hope really the best idea? She already has Phoenix powers...if the Phoenix wants her to start killing things, sure kill her....BUT there's also a large fire chicken destroying things headed towards earth that is currently independent of Hope. What does wolverine think will happen when that shows up with no Hope around? Killing a host is something the X-Men have thought about before... and it may have worked. But what is going to stop the chicken this time?

"Irredeemable" Ant-Man dies bravely defending a child

    Wolverine = "irredeemable?"

I'd say the detector only works, when the PF is invoked. So they can sit by the detector and wait, in which case the X-Men will probably get there first, or they search for her.

Is there even an atempt of making sense in this thing? Cap attacks Hope's home with an army and it's Wolverine's fault she ran away! How did he though this was going to go? He beats up all the X-Men, takes her prisioner and she's going to be fine with it?
He made Wolverine an avenger with the sole pourpose of killing people and now, he's shocked Wolverine decided to kill someone? Really?
His way of reasoning with the imensely dangerous killing machine is punching him in the face. REALLY?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The guy needs help! Help in the form of a straightjacket and a padded cell! He's completely insane!

And what's really bad about this is that Brubaker is trying to make him look good. He's trying to make him look like he's the one in the right! It's insanity!

As for Wolverine all I have to say is this:

HE SAW AT LEAST TWO PHOENIX HOSTS SAVE THE WORLD! SEVERAL TIMES! HIS LIFE WAS SAVED BY JEAN USING PHOENIX'S POWERS!
NONE OF THIS MAKES ANY SENSE! IF YOU'RE GOING TO WRITE A STORY WITH THE PHOENIX, BRING A WRITER WHO READ A SINGLE STORY WITH THE PHOENIX ONCE!

I thought this event was going to be bad but I never thought it would be this bad. And it's getting worse with every issue! If it keeps going at this rate , the last issue is going to tear a hole in the fabric of reality by shear writing ineptitude and the World is going to end in 2012, just like the Mayans predicted.
He's also seen the Phoenix want to destroy things... maybe you should read a few more stories with the Phoenix, eh?

Clint and Bobbi seem quite close on that first panel, and Jess is way over the other side of the group. Small detail, but I just thought I'd throw it out there, since most people seem to be so baffled with the miscaractarizations that no one mentioned this.
Second one is a commum gripe and one that has plagued many Avengers fans during the Bendis years. Things are dire, the Avengers need every able body to defend the Earth against the end, yet why such a small grouping being devided in low-powered groups of 3 or 2 to search the world? Did JRJR get lazy and not draw everyone, or where are Photon, Tigra, She-Hulk, Black Knight, Hercules, Echo (to be fair), Living Lightning, Firebird, 3d-Man, Sersi and so many other past Avengers (I won't even mention Wonder Man, of course) that they couldn't be bothered to be called for the END OF THE WORLD? The X-Men seem to be calling upon all their resources.

    Peace
Tigra is probably watching the school... and I thought Echo was killed (for all that means). Hercules is still powerless though, I think. He's probably getting drunk with his father. It's quite possible that the others have more important things to take care of at the moment ()... But if you were going to call anyone, wouldn't you try to get a hold of Blue Marvel? just sayin'

So you have already seen the next panel/pages and know he doesn't have a further plan? (hint: "i saw that look you gave Sharon")

If Wolverine gets kicked off the Avengers this whole event will be worth it.

Well... That was awful. I was actually enjoying the character interaction, then... What the heck? For once, characters are talking like intelligent people and I was engaged in the "story" (if you can call it that) and then, "I didn't want it to have to come to this." *PUNCH TO THE FACE*

That was RIDICULOUS. What is Cap's plan? Beating his point of view into Logan until Logan agrees with it? This event...is so sad...

Echo is dead? Really? How did it happen? I only included her as not to play favorits and name only pre-Disassembled forgotten. I'll give you Tigra (someone has to take care of the kids), but powers or not (and, as you, it seems, I'm not sure about his current status), with Ares arsenal, Herc is still plenty capable of holding his own against a couple of mutants. And I only went for former Avengers, but, what the heck, bring in Blue Marvel if you want to, however, I'd not be as sure as to what side he'd take as I would a former Avenger.

    Peace

I can see why Cap is punching Logan. He almost killed a child. Captain America has punched out people for a lot less.

Punisher killed some criminals in Civil War and Cap beat the crap out of him.

Besides, Captain America doesn't have to be right all the time.

Why? Logan's skin and flesh isn't admantium.

Haha, typical that once Bendis leaves they stop using Wolverine to pump up sales.
