What political damage though? They want to seem "good" in the eyes of the public.

Yeah theres something about her thats kinda shady. Still I do wonder for a vampire thats as old as she claims why isn't she taking the leadership position among The Authority while a younger vamp like Guardian has?
It's hard to say, maybe he just got some other vamps who were on his side. The one guy who said he knew the person who wrote the vampire bible is likewise pretty old if he was alive when it was written. Or it could just be they tried to make it so power doesn't always play a larger part in their political dealings. Still weird though.

Sure one could see it that way but to the kids that Arleen had to explain Terry's leaving to, and Arleen possible, Terry had ditched them. Yes Terry's heart is in the right place but I can imagine some resentment from Arleen and the kids for him leaving them like that
Oh I'm sure Arleen will resent him, at least until she see's proof of the ifrit herself. I think that's how the story will play out: Arleen thinks Terry has just gone off his meds until eventually she encounters the ifrit too.

Terry does know that the other waitress chick is a witch , right ? If he's cursed , shouldn't he be looking for witches to break that curse ?

I don't know if he knows. Even if he did, I don't think Terry would really think of something like that.

Loved Christopher Meloni in his casual golf attire. That was pretty hilarious. Can't believe he's dead already. He barely did anything. If Russell Edgington doesn't really give a crap about the Sanguinistas religious trappings, what are they going to do with him? He isn't going to lay down for anybody.

I didn't see the previews for next week, is he actually dead? When Russel stabbed him, he didn't go splat. Maybe that's because he's so old. Could that have been the Judas Tree stake Russel used?

Wow, I'm SHOCKED to see Meloni go like that. My jaw dropped. That was like a page out of Hitchcock's Psycho for me, haha! Great stuff.

I must say, Arlene is pissing me the eff off. Since last season, any time people have been conviding her in crap, she stoops to the whole "you're crazy, something like that is impossible" yet she works with vampires, a witch, her former husband's ghost visited her, a co-worker reads people's minds, she's seen a ghost possess another co-worked AND seen the ghost. Seriously?

Was glad to see Ruby again, she's a big favorite. And Tara's mom next week, thank goodness! I was thinking about her the other day. I'm very curious as to if there'll be an interaction between Tara's mom and Pam.

Not enough Tara for me this episode.

The latest episode was okay. Wasn't the best of the season thus far, but pretty decent. This season really seems to be scaling back the T&A, which I think is like taking the chocolate out of a Hershey's bar. But there's still time to make up for it. However, this season is starting to drag a bit. I'm glad they've got Russel back into the picture. I just don't know what to make of the Authority or Eric's sister. It's like they're trying to set up this plot with the Sanginistas, but it's really hard to tell who or what each side entails. That and the plot with Sookie and Alceid seems a bit overly predictable. I still have high hopes for this season. It just wasn't the best episode to date.

Well for one, this has been the slowest pacing season thus far. Everyone is getting a focus but in doing that, the structure and speed of the stories unfolding is slower than the prior seasons. I must say, though, that I'm enjoying the pacing and unraveling VERY much.

And weird, this was the first episode I liked Alcide.

I wondered why Alcide and the other wolf guy didn't just fight it out right then and there? Do they have to have their people get back with each other and schedule it!

I must admit that female wolf who backed up Alcide is pretty hot, so I hope she sticks around. Alcide can do far, far worse.

(I either forgot, or never knew, that Joe Mangianello was Flash Thompson in the first Raimi Spider-man movie. I haven't seen it in a long time. I wonder if I would recognize him.)

One thing I'm confused about..was Alcide actually glamoured? Just because I thought it didn't work on supernaturals? Or is that just fairies then? Did Sookie undo the glamour? Or did she just look at his memories?

Also why did the black Authority member murder all those humans instead of just glamouring them? Does that mean he's working against the Authority? Since murdering a bunch of humans kind of goes against the whole mainstreaming thing.

The black Authority member's name is Kibwe Akinjide. I think a few of the Authority members are working with Russel. Kibwe could be part of it.

Yeah, I believe supes can get glamored but not fairies. And yeah, Sookie undid the glamor.

Actually, I think Sookie can be glamored and has been. But the glance between Bill and Sookie when she started to object to the Glamoring indicated to me that he never intended to glamor her in the first place. Eric though had no such inclination with Alcide, and proved that he still wants Sookie by doing the very human thing, and working against his rival for Sookies attention by making him repulsed by her. Pretty funny, and her reaction when she realized what Eric had done was pretty funny too.

No, Sookie can't get glamored. It was established a few times in Season 1. Bill tried and Sookie played a joke on him pretending she was and couldn't hold from laughing and later Bill's "friends" tried and were shocked she wasn't able to be glamored.

To be fair to Arlene, Terry wasn't explaining things well at all. He was saying things out of order, dropping a bomb on her (oh yeah I killed a woman in cold blood in Iraq), and being a bit incoherent. He sounded like he did before when he was off his rocker before.

I dunno, it's just that both times Terry and Andy has confided in her about something, she's quick to say they're being crazy and that what they're saying is impossible and can't happen. Yet she's surrounded by supernatural crap and she's been involved in a few of them. The fact that she's quite to close the door of possibilities just confuses and bewilders me. Yes, Terry didn't sound stable, but I'd leave an open window of possibility open given all the crap I've experienced.
