then you are not the reason why. Its not even about dumb questions, its about cyber stalking. When someone posts your personal info online they have crossed a line. Thats something Dan doesnt want to put up with. I agree with him. Best to not put up with it. Account closed and then move on.

The internet truly makes me sick sometimes. I don't understand the mindset of just insulting someone like that, what the hell does it accomplish? I mean, I'm all for insults directed towards one's family members and threats of bodily harm but dammit only when its in person and you're trying get something done (such as getting through rush hour traffic), not hiding behind a sissy box and the interwebs. Its even more bizarre when its some random celeb like whats her face with the big ass, just imagine how many random insults get hurled at her for no reason other than strong dislike.

When you reach a certain level of success people for some reason feel it us OK to knock someone in personal insensitive ways, these sad people feel achievement that they bring you down and put them in their place. Dan Slott is just lucky he is a writer and not a politician then it would be 20 Tim's worse for him and his family.

I think people tend to dehumanized people they only see on paper or through a TV camera. Worst time in my life was when my dad ran for a political office and all the phone calls and hateful comments made about my dads personal character. People called and threatened us and threw names at my mom and brother. The things people said had very little to do with politics they were just deeply personal, insensitive, and hateful. My dad ran for a state rep position couldn't imagine what it would have been like if he were a congressman or senator

Hello, are you new to the comics forums and message boards?

I get that fans are bitter. I am often bitter myself, since a few years.
But nothing can justify being such a dick to creators. Especially to a writer who clearly loves comics and don't do this job only for the paycheck. You may hate his choices, but hating the man and wishing him harm is insane.
The amount of hate spilled on Dan Slott and Joe Q after OMD is a shame for all us comics fans.

There's a story told about how at a convention a guy waiting on line flipped out on Slott, started raging how he ruined Spider-Man. Slott talked to the guy and in the end they shook hands and the dude went on his way, despite the angry fans that had to wait in line behind him.

So I think Slott has dealt with angry readers before, especially in person.

The problem is that Dan didnt write that either. He wrote about having problems with people wishing him cancer, spoiling Avengers and messing with his personal life. Again can you point to where he says that he has problems with hearing about how people dont like his work in what he wrote in that quote?
