This is the end-of-game versions of both (sans Alex getting....y'know, spoilers). And just to make sure there's no confusion, this is Eddie with the Venom symbiote.

The battle takes place within Manhatten.

I think this may come down to Carnage vs the two of them.
I'm just not sure if Venom can hang with the Prototype's.

I see you have fallen for the clever ruse. The guy in Prototype 2 is clearly not Blacklight Alex Mercer, but post-Ouroboros Albert Wesker.

His disguise is pretty clever, I will grant you, though he couldn't quite imitate Mercer's voice.

But really, his transformation before the final boss fight gave it away.

On the subject of the fight, the issue is that Heller and not-Mercer will be pretty much totally unable to hit Carnage and Venom and whatever hit they do land (unlikely) won't really do anything while Carnage and Venom are going to take forever to get through their regeneration.

So...I don't know. Do symbiotes get tired?

EDIT: No, wait, I just looked through the final fight and not-Mercer's regeneration is crap compared to what was shown in Prototype 1. Dude couldn't even regenerate his arms after Heller ripped them off the second time.

EDIT 2: And can anyone tell me why there was all that foreshadowing about PARIAH in the first Prototype if they weren't even going to give the kid a cameo in the sequel?

In all seriousness, the guy got blown up by a nuke, so maybe one of his pieces or whatever regenerated into another Mercer and the real Mercer is off eating his other pieces to become whole again before meeting up with James and then teaming up with him to go fight Pariah.

Clearly, the Supreme Hybrid will come back in Prototype 3, now under control by Cross' mind. He will show up in the last 5 minutes with his shockstick and beat PARIAH before rappeling into the sky and leaving the series for good.

I suspect that was more along the lines of Blacklight+Unknown viruskid = bad than a "they fight and somehow one of them dying is bad for us" concern.

Don't forget that he had just been 'powered up' before the fight too, just to make it even more laughable.
