Vargas is important because he proves that Psylocke is a liability to the X-Men.

We're talking about the guy killed off panel as a mere footnote in 'Blinded by the Light,' right?

    "killed" and
So was Gateway. Is he a P.O.S. character?

... acting like Blinded by the Light was high literature.

Well, I liked it, but whatever. But, no, Gateway is cool and always has been. Vargas... not so much. Just my opinion.

No it doesn't, there's being cheeky, then there is just hopeless fanboyism. Steven Sanders is right, Morrison and Quitely are the ones to make Feline Henry canon as a secondary mutation. Deal with it.

Hey, Mr. Sanders, always a pleasure. I still can't agree with you on the SA #26 art, but I will say I've seen far worse. Not my cup of tea, although I do have to admit the artist did do pretty good pencil work when it came to fur. The hands are wonky, though.

Can't tell what this is. It's neither a cat nor an ape. Or it can be both a cat and an ape.

Anyway, Beast still looks like a cat under Bradshaw's pencil in watxm.

Doesn't look like he's reverted to me. I think this is just a case of artists having different styles with which to depict characters. Nothing has been reverted. He's still cat-Beast. I don't like that style all that much, but at the moment it's not even she tenth thing wrong with what's been going on with Beast lately. I lost all respect for him for his handling of Schism and Utopia, which had nothing to do with his appearance.

The "neither cat nor an ape" look has been going on for awhile. Barely anyone draws him as as the full on cat, complete with the "cat" legs and feet that Quitely intended and the other New X-Men artists continued:

I believe it started with Astonishing, when Cassaday took liberties with the feet (either because he couldn't draw the cat legs, didn't want to and the editors didn't care, or the editors told him to change it themselves), and reverted them to ape-feet:

After that, it was a free for all. Now we have everything from Mr. Sanders' interpretation, to most artists just drawing an ape-beast with a teeny bit of cat thrown in (slightly more cat-like ears, a cat-like mouth in Bachalo's case, or just a little cat nose). His "paws" that Morrison had him struggling with have all but returned to 5 ape fingers.

But this Secret Avengers issue might be the first time the artist didn't even throw in the slightest cat-like feature....and was allowed to, for whatever reason.

This is the only Beast I accept as canon. My flippin' goodness Bachalo makes that guy look awesome. I don't care about consistency, I just want an artist to make Beast look good.
