    Default Secret Avengers #26 *Spoilers*

AvX tie in. Makes sense to me that the Kree, enemies of the Shi'ar, would have a piece of the M'Kraan Crystal. Beast yelling at Captain Britain was a nice moment. Awesome last page too. Knew it was coming, still...awesome. What did you guys think of the art this issue? I liked it, but a friend of mine didn't care for it.

It was different and I can see why people don't like it. Thor doesn't look like the Thor we are the most familiar with for example... but it was cool, and Drunk Valkyrie leaning against Thor was pretty cute. (hey Sif is his 'Asgard Girl' and they aren't in Asgard!)

i haven't been reading secret Avengers so I picked this up because I am curious about the space plot and the up coming plot with Captain Marvel and I really enjoyed it. Plus a good cliff hanger to get me to pick up the next issue. Well done marvel! well done.

Once again I'm baffled by the people writing Thor. He has the task of getting the Pheonix attention and he does what? He shoots a bit of lightning at it. Not even "summoning all the cosmic storms" or anything like that. What's even stranger is, it seems that it actually bothered the Phoenix for a bit. If there was ever a time to use your most powerful abilities, you'd think NOW is that moment.

And in AvX #4 he's throwing the hammer at it....a bird made of fire...

Have any of these people ever read a Thor comic before? Lol

    Default Secret Avengers #26 (Spoilers)

A lot goes on in this issue!

    - A Kree space station taps into the M'Kraan crystal in order to bring back Mar-Vel (or something like that).
    - Thor gets hammered
    - Thor gets completely destroyed by the Phoenix, but is fine because he's a god.
    - Rhodie gets destroyed by the Phoenix, and is in pretty bad condition.
    - Brian tries to save the day, like any hero would, but Beast has a problem with it.
    - The Kree space station gets destroyed by the Phoenix (But brings Mar-Vel back to life?)
    - The Avengers regroup on Hala
    - Beast is a little bitch and bitches to Brian for his disobedience.
    - Noh-Var and Carol agree that nothing must stop the Phoenix.
    - Mar-Vel shows up, and along with Carol and Noh-Var, plan to kill the Avengers.
    - The Avengers fail against the Phoenix'

I enjoyed this issue, but the ending was pretty confusing. While it APPEARS that the real Mar-Vel is back, it looks like he, along with Noh-Var and Carol are brainwashed. Naturally, Mar-Vel is going to end up sacrificing himself to save the day.

I've just already accepted long ago that in events and other peoples comics Thor will throw his hammer and smack stuff, and at most use some lightning. Seeing him trying to get the crew to drink some brew was a lot of fun though, even if it seems off for the more stoic Thor we've seen lately. (haven't been following Fraction's stuff though so unknown)

But to be fair hitting things with his hammer is usually enough.

We haven't seen them in the Previews of the upcoming "Captain Marvel" but I wonder if he gives her the negabands or something? I certainly agree it will end with Mar-Vel sacrificing himself to save the day, and perhaps Noh-Varr too, leading Carol to take up the name to honor them.

She's clearly being controlled by her Kree DNA, there is definitely some mind control going on, and none of the Kree characters are acting like themselves.

...Is it just me, or does Remender not like Captain Britain?

so...has Beast officially re-progressed (pro-regressed?) back to his simian form, or did the artist just not want to bother drawing his cat form? It's always been impossible to get consistency in the way Cat-Hank is drawn, but lately it seems like most artists just stick with the 70's/90's version.

It's pretty obvious that she's under the influence of something. Protector on the other hand seems to be revelling in it.

Oh, and I have no love for the art in the book, especially the choice to draw old-style Beast.

i was wondering the same thing. Beast looked like his old 'goblin-like' self in the latest X-Men Legacy.
