Mimic isn't an original anything. Thats damn near the basis of his existence.
Nevermind.

This issue was DVINE. Rogue, Omega, and Mimic were made of awesome. Thank you Gage for such an amazing read. Other than being alive, X-Men Legacy made my day.

I agree, this was my favorite issue so far since Gage took over. I felt more invested in many of the characters than I had before and enjoyed a lot of the relationship development that was put into this issue. I was extremely happy when Mimic was invited to join the group and think if the writing continues like this he could develop into a great character. Plus I am really starting to enjoy the art of this book.
I don't know what it was but the hug between Rogue and Gambit before the last attempt was more informative of their relationship than most of the dialogue writers use for them.
Was thrilled the Mailman was left for dead, though sad we didn't actually get to see him explicitly blow up. Oooh, maybe it happens off-panel, since that's what that godawful plot-device character is known for. Only downside to that would be Alpha Flight wouldn't get the chance to come pull the plug, as they should be allowed. Unity!Heather would totaly get rid of him without a second thought.
Well according to Gage Omega has a future, he said wait until AvX is over, Omega is in stasis and will not be killed off, to much potential. He has to have someone teach him to how to control his powers, learn when to shut it off, so he wont overload sorta like what Xavier did for Rogue, she can touch someone without taking their powers unless she wants to because she has control over it now. Now it's Omega's turn.
The issue was fine, it was a fun read. However, if Gage balanced the cast a little more and added a few more subplots, I think this series can be a lot better.
