Uncanny X-Men 11 (Spoilers)

Great issue written by Gillen. My favorite of the AvX tie ins today

Agreed, so far they've all been filler except New Avengers, which totally screws up recent Iron Fist continuity.

The issue starts off with Dr Nemesis analysing one of Hope's PF manifestations. Dr Nemesis describes it more as signal going outwards than a general energy burst. (i guess Hope's some sort of beacon for the Phoenix). Cyclops is happy as a fanatic can be. He tells Emma that they need to get ready for anything that comes because people will notice.

Unit talks to Hope and advises her not to be anyone's pawn. He also continues to manipulate Danger and reminds her of how a bad a student she is.

The issue then moves to the beach where the Avengers stormed Utopia and the narration is from Namor's perspective. He talks of how much he is impressed by Scott and would have his woman. Which (in his opinion) would be a complement to Scott.

The issue than moves to the fight between Colossus and Rulk underwater. Rulk tries to gouge out Colossus eyes but that just makes Colossus go full on Juggernaut/Cyttorak hybrid.

The issue moves back to the scene with Hope taking out Wolverine (like in AVX). According to the inner monologue, Hope is very much in control of herself and remembers that she had an agreement with Wolverine to take her out if "things got really bad".However, things aren't really bad and she owns Wolverine and runs away thinking that she's running towards a fight and not away from it (her inner thoughts).

Cyttorak Colossus is owning Rulk hard. Breaking his nose and his bones and knocking out his teeth. Cyttorak Colossus is about to finish him off when Rulk points to the Utopia pillar and how it might have been knocked down. Cyttorak Colossus powers down to normal Colossus and gets knocked the fuck out by Rulk!

Cyclops is looking for Hope and talks about the activating the Avengers protocol.

The office of Kade Kildare (PR Specialist for Superhumans) gets a text message "Avengers Protocol go". The world is not ending with a bang but with a press release!

The issue ends with a letter to humanity from Scott on how the US government attacked them and how they've been pushed e.t.c


Another excellent issue from Gillen. 9/10.

It was and who doesnt love seeing Wolverine have his azz handed to him again? Hope vs Logan was one of the highlights for me

Danger is not amused by that thread of yours. She is a mere shadow of her former self. Besides in the pic above no true villain will kill unconscious heroes on the ground as it goes completly against their nature to do so.

Agreed! I didnt even realize till you mentioned it. Such a dick move but I think Im gonna love it depending on the fallout

How was Collossus able to grow those appendages and and weird armor? Ive never see Juggernaut do that before

The Avengers image is already messed up thanks to Norman, when this is over i don't see the Avengers image getting any better but on the other hand they're mutants so i don't think anyone would care much.

He did it during the Apex arc. Cyttorak is having a unique effect on him.

I hope Cap gets on the tv and just tells the truth, that the World could End if they dont find this girl! and im sure he will have video recordings (see last new avengers issue) to Prove that he did try to seek a peaceful resolution to the situation first!
