    Default Why is Joseph evil now?

    How come Joseph is evil now? i dont really get the explanation in Magneto not a hero.,
    I thought i remembered he died as the good guy ? And now because the real Magneto is not a villian any more the clone should be ?
    I don't really care for Joseph anyway but i don't get it was this ever explained? or just bad writing ?

    Crappy attempt to cash in on 90s nostalgia. notice this is also the first person in over a decade to even *touch* the character of Astra with a 20 foot cattle prod.

    Good story overall, it just would have been better as some kind of copycat, or even another attempt to deal with Xorneto, rather than touching on the Joseph/Astra connection.

    It wasn't really Joseph, but they gave him the same name anyway.
    VIVA KUSASAN!!! Morrison On Magneto: I made him into a stupid old drug-addicted idiot. CC had done a lot of good work over the years to redeem the character. And I went in and sh*t on all of it.

    ^^^ OH was that the explanation? After the 2nd issue, I tended to blank out anything directly referring to Astra or Joseph and just enjoyed the chardev for Erik.

    Astra made him that way, cause she wanted him to convince Magneto to go back to being a bad guy. He was just a tool that got out of control.

    Because they felt they needed to keep the good/evil clone ratio in Marvel stable. Since Kaine gets to be a hero now in Scarlet Spider, Joseph had to be the fall guy to become evil.
    Holding out for a Peter/Miles team up.

    because that's how comic books work lol....they do what will serve the story best and, in this case, I feel like it worked.

    I think a Magneto/Joseph role-reversal is actually kind of interesting personally.
