The Magneto and Iron Man fight proves two things, 1 Mags is still a fuckin beast he took powers from other planets why fighting in orbit and again as with the last two or three years Marvel has shown why Mags is in a class of his own. And to be able to feel the PF destroy a planet i think show that his power extend to the universe as a whole, and 2 i don't see Mags been with the X Men long and what do he know about Wand being key that the Avengers, X Men and the readers don't know.

agreed, and he might be the only one that could do much agenst the bird, he could pull the whole Asteroid Belt in the Firebirds Path

In your opinion, does this fit in pretty good with AvX #2? Any sign of Cage in the Namor/Thing fight?
The fights did seem much bigger in scale than what we saw in AVX.

We didn't see Cage at all during the Namor/Thing throwdown. However the fight was to be continued and i think a Cage/Thing double team might still be on the way.

Actually it sounds starkingly similar to how Aquaman took down Namor in "DC vs. Marvel" by dropping a killer whale on him.

Thing used a fish on Namor too LOL

The Thing/Namor throw down wasn't what i expected but it was very inconclusive (it was actually stated in the issue).

The Iron Man/Magneto fight made a lot more sense. Tony was losing...decisively until Mags got distracted.

Very true. I still think the phoenix will outclass him given its usualy powers, but he certainly has experience giving them miniature heartquakes, lol...sorry that wasn't Magneto...was it? Yeah, I'm sure it was. Either way, Magneto and Thor are the best shots for the Captain Britain/Beast device.

Also Magneto will not let any harm come to Wanda, so I can see his stance changing because he believes in family first. If Phoenix is coming to destroy his kids, Magneto will not let it do so easily.

Namor at the bottom of the ocean is FAR above Thing.

    It's not an accurate comparison.

And yes, Bendis-wanking Luke Cage actually standing a chance against Namor IN THE WATER is ridiculous.

What's next? He's gonna one punch Drax?

    EXACTLY.

The fight depicted Magneto as a universal level threat. He actually said that Stark was going to know what it felt like "to be hit with the sun."

Mags fighting the X-Men would be bad. Mags teaming up with Thor fighting the Phoenix would be good (and make sense, so it probably won't happen).

I'm pro-X and I LOVE the Extinction team and don't want to see that team broken up. EVER.

This event should have been called "AVENGERS GOOD, X-MEN BAD!" because of how Bias it is.

I really don't see how Magneto was so distracted. At least we got to see his powers put into perspective. The Namor vs. Thing fight made no sense.

    Yep.

I would have posted Uncanny X-men #11 spoilers on the X-boards but they've been in meltdown since this event started.

They would have my head on a pike if i described the issue.
