There is plenty of good stuff to see in the movie. It was worth the price of admission.

Personally, I thought it said "radioactive breath", like Godzilla.

Southeast Asia has it on April 25, saw it yesterday :D

    Additional feats:

    Loki:
    - Good example of Asgardian physiology (well below Thor, but absolutely manhandles human-level characters, including Captain America). He once again does illusions and misdirection as a fighting style very well, which I liked from the Thor movie.
    - Took a very brutal beating from the Hulk and did not die.

    Iron Man:
    - Good speed/acceleration showing. He physically pushes a giant propeller fast enough to keep the helicarrier in the air. And oh yes, did I mention the helicarrier?
    - Tony's armor can absorb electricity and power himself to 400% capacity - strong enough to knock around Thor. This is very impressive, considering Thor's lighting feats are insane (see below). Movie Iron Man is now pretty much immune to electricity.

    Thor:
-As stated, Thor's lighting is insane. He can pretty much AoE it to cover a significant portion of the sky, in the process one-shotting multiple giant biomechanical ships that Iron Man otherwise cannot penetrate with his laser weapons (seen cutting through hammeroids like butter in Iron Man 2).
    - Mjolnir hits hard enough to smash through a prison designed to hold the Hulk.
    - Strengthwise, Thor is able to (slowly) crush Iron Man's armor with his bare hands.

    Captain America:
Very impressed with the Shield, which it seems has been upgraded since the time energy weapons knocked it around in the Captain America movie. The Shield has stood up to the following:
    - Thor smashing it with Mjolnir, demolishing a large area around it except for Cap and the shield.
    - Iron Man's lasers reflect off it
    - Loki's energy blasts reflect off it
    - A point-blank alien time bomb
    - Numerous alien energy blasts

    Hulk:
    - I liked how they treated the Hulk, who essentially is a horror movie monster. The Hulk is bar none the most imposing physical force in the movie. Nothing beats it in pure strength, and everyone is F*ing terrified (or respectful) of it - even Loki.
    - The Hulk suplexes a spaceship the size of a small building.
    - Physically beats down Thor.
    - Durability-wise, took a fall from the helicarrier. Takes sustained fire from dozens of alien spaceships all firing at the same time, and comes out unscathed.
    - Banner can transform at will. Also, Banner explicitly cannot die. He's tried. Up to and including shooting himself in the mouth, the bullet Hulk subsequently spits out.

    Black Widow and Hawkeye:
    - While never shown being explicitly superhuman, both are very impressive in their own right and *gasp* are not outstaged by the superhumans.
Black Widow gets particular kudos for acting as a spy should and actually getting information in sneaky ways. She outmaneuvered Loki in an interrogation.
    - Hawkeye is brainwashed for the majority of the movie, yet he almost singlehandedly managers to sink the helicarier.

I wonder if I can pull the "spoilers (mostly) avoided" tag off the title now. I tried to stay a little more generic. :-)

I back up all of the feats though - they all happened just like that EXCEPT I would say the Thor/Hulk fight had the Hulk slightly having the upper hand physically, but Thor giving quite well, having the dramatic skill advantage, AND not being remotely damaged by the hits he took. The snake-attack-craft punch-out was the class 100-ish feat I was talking about - the thing is moving and the Hulk just flat out stops it/kills it with one punch.

Either way. I am glad this movie wasn't going to live up to the expectations I had for it. When the trailer showed Iron Man giving Thor the business end of his fist, I had almost given up.

Not really, the powerlevels are fairly consistent and actually make sense. Iron Man is well below Thor, for example. In that instance, Iron Man is artificially boosted.

That's what I'm saying. Since the movie hasn't come out here (Another week, thank god.) I only had trailers to base my assessment of the movie on. And from what I saw it didn't look good for Thor. But like you said, it's fairly consistent across the board for the heroes.

Thor gets some really good feats. You won't be too disappointed. I wasn't.

Thor is a beast in this. Plus he's just really cool, even outside of fight feats.

His battle with Iron Man is misleading. Think of it like a top class welterweight boxer going up a top class heavyweight. The welterweight is gonna get some good hits in, but really, they just look good and don't really have an effect.

I loved Thor and Hulk's team up. Sooooo good. It's a comic book fans wet dream.

Big Adventure what would you say about Shaw from First Class? Think he'd be an effective opponent for Hulk or Thor?

If his powers require conscious activation, then I'd say both Thor and Hulk would have a really solid shot - they are both MUCH faster than Shaw, especially Thor.

If Shaw's powers do not require conscious activation, he would be tough for them - I mean, we never see him get overloaded at all, though granted, it takes him time to absorb the reactor energy. Maybe Thor could overload him with lightning (definitely the most damaging attack used by any of the Avengers). I guess Thor might also win by funnel-clouding him into space, or dragging him there and leaving him or something (not that he has that exact feat), but I don't see Hulk with any chance at all. Maybe Hulk (Thor as well) could suffocate him, but we've seen lots of reasons proposed why that wouldn't work.

We never see Shaw get overloaded, but we never see him instantly absorb anything substantial either. Rockets and bullets, and Havok's energy blast. Then he absorbed some radiation over time. It's true he's never overloaded, but that doesn't mean he can't be..it just means nothing in the movie was enough to do so.

Movie Thor was already said to mostly likely beat Shaw by overloading him with attacks more powerful then any he absorbed, and that was just using feats from his own movie. If he's even more powerful in the Avengers? He wrecks Shaw.

Likewise, Hulk would probably one shot Shaw as well, even if they had equal speed. Shaw needs to absorb energy before having any firepower..and he's going to get his head punched clean off before he can absorb much of anything.

I was thinking Shaw at his peak, already having absorb the power from the nuclear reactor. And he was instantaneously absorbing the energy from bullets and rockets, I'm guessing he could absorb the kinetic energy from Hulk's blows.
