Here's a recent interview with him about it. Your mileage may vary of course:

If I remember right, it was posted in the forum quite some time ago. I don't quite remember, something in the lines of "Wonder Woman doesn't know emotions and learn them from Steve", I'm not completely sure, she lacked something essential for a human being and Trevor basically teached her. As you can easily imagine, the rest of the thread basically consisted of "How dare you, Whedon? Die" kind of posts.
"I'm going to paraphrase Nietzsche, when you judge a work, the work judges you."
Thanks for the link.
It doesnt sound that bad, but i can imagine the pyres and all the pitchforks that were raised in the air because of it. I'm sure the feminists had a stroke too, didnt they? How dare a man teach her anything?
I think it would be interesting to say the least.
Doc, I love ya to death, but you have a seriously flawed idea of what feminism is actually about. It's not about denigrating men, or saying there's nothing useful about them -- as Aaron Stack put it in my second-favorite comic book ever, they are "full of very useful devices." It's about not needing them to be the best we can be -- finding our own worth in ourselves. Men benefit from that, too. Sorry we didn't burn the place down, but there's nothing anti-woman about saying Diana can learn something from a man -- especially one she's attracted to like no one else she's ever seen.
Tell us that she HAS to have a man to be the heroine she is -- and I'll be heating the first bucket of pitch myself, though.

Some days a girl wants to ride ponies. Some days a girl wants to punch tanks. Today ... is a tank day.
It's hard to form opinions if you've only heard a few ideas that may (or may not) have been included in the final approx 120 pg script. Way back when, after DC/WB effectively fired Whedon, the message boards lit up with, "Whew! We dodged a bullet type posts!"
Some of it was based on the costume concept art. But one of the pics had a skirt theme that stayed very, very true to the iconic costume. Here's a link to an article about Whedon's script, with costume pics. http://www.geekshow.us/content/artic...-wonder-woman/
All I know is that based on what I have read and watched from Whedon I do not think that he would be a good fit for Wonder Woman. What was leaked about his scrip hasn't changed my mind either because it doesn't seem very original. Just because he has done well with female characters in the past doesn't mean that he can handle with ALL female characters.
Think of it as an impression subject to change. We all form impressions, no?
I'm totally open to Whedon proving me wrong, making me each crow, etc., but like Mecegirl above, in my experience, Whedon seems a better fit for Runaways or Birds of Prey than he does Wonder Woman.

It's my fault really, i should have clarified. I meant the extremist feminists, like the ones who posted how Azzarello ruined WW by giving her a father and how she isnt pure anymore. And people were telling them "well even feminists have dads" but their rage would not end.but you have a seriously flawed idea of what feminism is actually about. That's the feminists i meant, not the normal ones. That third one is pretty much the classic WW suit.

Sherlock: “I’ve never begged for mercy in my life.”
Irene: “Twice.”
black widow is more well known than wonder woman lol. Most people can name at least 3 things about black widow where as people would just think wonder woman as an colorful balloon.
