Wait, is Cheese supposed to be Coulson?

I can understand Marcus Johnson becoming an Agent of SHIELD.

Giving him Steve's uniform is pretty stupid.

Has there been ever an issue that dealt with the transition of office from Steve Rogers to Daisy Johnson?

No, unless a few panels constitutes an issue.
    I rule me.

Wouldn't say that editorially driven = failure by default.

    Elaborate further.

Didn't she join the Avengers at Steve's behest? Doesn't mean that make her kind of subordinate?

I was still under the impression that Steve was just 'Top Cop', and not neccessarily Director of SHIELD... (Was it ever actually explained?), unlike Daisy, who was clearly labled as such, which would really make her more of a liason...

    This is editorial overkill.

They are totally trashing an existing characters long, long existence in MU in order to what, capitilize on the movie-verse version. Which is in fact the Ultimates version that they got pre approval from SLJ long ago to draw as such?

I'm all for the fun of SLJ or any black actor being Nick Fury as it's now established in the current Marvel Universe.
What happens to "classic" Nick. What happens when at some point down the road the right actor with the chops and gravitas to play Fury is white?
Will the comics to to great lengths to re-establish Nick Fury as he once and originally was? Keeping in mind we still don't know the outcome for him.

This is just overboard at an editorial level. It's not like the films have general audiences rushing into comic shops and would be dismayed to find out Nick, one character, is not like the movie version.

    Dear Clark Gregg,

I'm so so so sorry that the awesomeness you created with Agent Coulson is being sacrificed to pass off this horrible idea of Fake Fury merchandising. We both deserve better.

And there's clearly no value in having current fans who like to pick up a comic with characters that they recognize and have enjoyed for decades. Thanks a lot Marvel and Chris Yost.

Basically Ultimate Samuel L Jackson Fury is cooler than regular Fury, they used him in the movie and now they want him in Marvel 616 so they jump through massively stupid hoops to do something massively stupid, and then tell fans to check it out.

No, you can keep it Marvel.
Currently recommending: Daredevil, Mudman ( it's back!), Hawkguy, and FF. Can't miss!
