Was wondering about this earlier:
'If only 1.5% of the genetic material in our cells codes for human life, would we become 'superhuman' if we trigger the 'junk DNA'?'
hmm?

Also, in light of how 49.25% of our cellular genetic material consist of genes of viruses, parasites, etc...just how much did the Daemonites, Martians, etc mess with us?!

No. That's not how it works.
Junk DNA- or noncoding DNA which I suspect you mean, there's a difference, some noncoding DNA still has function, junk DNA has no known function- doesn't code for any proteins. That means there's no "triggering". It has no function, otherwise it would already carry out that function.
(Michael Emerson (Harold Finch in Person of Interest) doing the voice-over:)
You have been tampered with. The governments and organisations across the world have kept a secret from you that would affect your every moment of every day. I know because I'm one of those who uncovered it. Along with various international teams of scientists we designed a machine to detect suppressed genetic traits in a bid to unlock...everything.
Using the information obtained via the Genome Project we are now seeking the Alphas and Betas among us. There is a change coming and we will prepare the world for it.
Disavowed by the authorities, we work in secret. You'll never find us but, Alpha or Beta (don't worry 'Omega', we'll get to you, too), if your genetic code is right...we'll find you...
This is an interesting read.
If anybody knows anything about current splicing attempts (like when Sheldon spliced together firefly and goldfish DNA to create the glowing fish) it would be interesting reading. Who knows, we may be able to actually breed our own Kryptonian...

Adkal, you always have fun ideas.
Anyway, honestly.....its possible. Many governments around the world have been researching this possibility since World War Two at least, though with little (reported?) results. There have been a number of reports of things like telekinetic type activity in wounded soldiers receiving treatment and test subjects. Most of the info I ever happened across is decades old too, so who knows? Of course, nothing straight up solid as far as evidence goes and it's such a sporadic, out-there thing it falls into the same category as UFO's sightings.
But you never know. We're just barely starting to scratch the surface of genetics. But so far we've been able to do some pretty crazy stuff. The glowing fish thing, there's a cat in...Japan, I think? who glows under a black light. We recently proved the mathematical theory that six additional dimensions could be folded up within the four we know of. Calabi-Yao Manifold Theory I believe that's called.
Given what we know about genetics, I would have to say it is not likely. But given everything we dont know about genetics, I have to say that anything is possible.
Calabi-Yao Manifold Theory? Between this and the genetic possibilities, my science and mathematics are getting outdated. I guess I have to go back to school...

Calabi-Yao isnt exactly proven science though.
It's a theory, which is supported by the math that...well, I explained it already. There's no way to tell if this theory is right. It could easily be totally wrong. I just love the fact that the math supports it.
And if you want to look into some really fringe stuff, check out the water molecule labeling thing. I forget the details, but some scientists somewhere put normal tap water into several different containers. Then they labeled each container with something like "Happy" and "I want to dance" and "I hate you and want you to die" then they left them alone and ignored them. Later, they looked at a water sample from each container and found that the molecular arrangement (or whatever) of each was different. The positive labels looked crystalline and were said to be beautiful, while the negative ones were twisted up and ugly. Just through the power of general perception and a label.
Again, I forget the details, but it's a hell of a thing to read about if you can find it through Google.
I have a theory that the Kryptonians are all on Earth because they share genetic similarity with us for some reason, probably like the Viltrumites in Invincible see us as potential breeding stock.
Looking for artists, know I won't find any. That blows.
There is a theory that life would develop anywhere in the way it developed on Earth because the way we developed is supposedly "the ideal way" for living organisms I mean we share 96% of DNA with bacon (I mean pigs)...I prefer to think Kryptonians could be similar to us because they were seeded like the rest of the races in the galaxy by the Ancients (as seen on Star Trek, the Next Generation) allowing for environmental differences. The Kryptonians may need the solar power more than we do to keep warm, maybe it's a type of photosynthesis because there isn't enough food sources on Krypton (they aren't Bismollians, after all), maybe they just are a sun loving "snow-bird" people who would do better in Florida.
