I would love to see where he takes Cable, that character has needed to move to a new place for a long time and i would love to see where Loeb takes him.

I like Loeb self-contained story arcs before he left for DC.---but his main stay current Marvel work doesn't align well with current continuity. His stories have a different take on the existing character and Loeb's voice of the character doesn't match current continuity of the character. It's like a shallow depth of research of reading current books or storylines. It's mainly -self-contained one & done stories vs continuity driven timeline. Loeb is becoming more polarizing to the readers - you either like Loeb's stories or you pass and wait for the next arc of the character book.

Still curious what was the storyline for Loeb's Avengers Three project with Ed McGuinness that eventually changed and became X-Sanction

Ultimate Spider-Man? Really, no matter how much he talks about it. It's not that good.

Well put! Believe me, and I've been a Nova fan for over 30 years and work with/speak to a lot of the Nova Fan core base at several fan sites - this is the kind of article that makes me wonder whether I should ditch Marvel and head for DC! Loeb and Marvel can do their best to try and convince everyone that the last 35 odd years Richard Rider has been Nova Prime is no more than a mirage fast fading on the cosmic winds.....

....but try as they might, Sam Alexander will never be a replacement that the core fans will ever accept - nor it seems new fans who appreciated the character from Annihilation - through Nova's run with Dna to the events of the Thanos Imperative. They can push it all they want in the new Spiderman cartoon series and the innovative Digital format....but it just won't work long term. All they'll do is drive fans away and we'll be left with nothing but a tepid teenager who is a pale shadow of the character most Nova fans truly give a damn about! If Loeb truly wants to make us believe he's a True Nova Fan...do what's right and make sure that when that helmet comes off we have a Rich Rider - and not Nino - which is our nick-name for the newbie! We'd prefer a time tracked Rich thrown out of the Cancerverse than this!

What? No. Cable died. Cable died a great death. Hope said it herself, he died exactly how he wanted to. But nooo! He had to be brought back.

As a huge fan of Cable, Cable should be dead right now. And he should still have a robot arm.

He should be a dead robot arm ideally.

It's getting to the point where I am wondering "why are they interviewing these people? Are they being interviewed just to be interviewed?" I read interviews to see what their plans are for a certain title or the characters. But what we got here, and keep getting is "this character's story has not been told." And we are not being told what is coming. It is, "hey, we brought this character "back", now let's see what other writers do with him."

In the case of Nova, well, they are bringing a new character, they are not bringing a character back. I know they want a new guy to tell different types of stories (or to place in the Avenger's Academy), but the "death" of Rich Rider was not necessary, if all these creators love Nova. It seems to me that a number of them love the Nova Corps concept, not necessarily Richard Rider.
