Ah, my bad. I checked out that those two issues because Simone brought over elements of her WW run into Secret Six. I didn't realize Scott had been on that long.

Since I started reading DC I've always wanted to get in with the Justice Society but it always felt past me. With Earth Two I feel like I am getting a fresh start with cool characters.

I always had a liking to Wildcat/Ted Grant, so I am hoping he picks up prominence in this series.

I see Earth Two going on for a year or two before expanding to becoming DC's kind-of Ultimate Universe.

What else can I say? The art looks fantastic, and I'm hella excited for this book. I just know Robinson is going to bring it on this title.

I met Nicola back in March (for the second time, now that I think about it) and she was just so giving of her time and enthusiasm about this book. Class act.

Plus the denim mini she was rocking didn't hurt none, either...

It's because Trevor Scott is inking her pencils. He was one of Wildstorm's best inkers in the 90's. He tried his hand at pencils as well, which he is good at, but his best trade is inking.

Just take a gander at this:

Geoff Johns had his own message board (the Comic Bloc...it's still there, but I dont think Geoff is there much anymore) and a fan found this image of Nicola's from another board and started really talking her up on the Bloc. If I'm not mistaken, this was the first place Gail Simone noticed Nicola's work and started pushing for her at the DC offices (I may be wrong, but that's how I remember things going.)
I remember thinking when I first saw her work that Nicola was simply astounding and was ecstatic when she started getting work at DC. Her work has always reminded me of the best aspects of Curt Swan and George Perez melded together. Her being attached to Earth-2 definitely made this book a must have for me.

I hope this book is good. A "Golden Age gone modern" feel could work really well.
