Default The Best Group of X-Kids Has Been...

This has probably been done before, but I don't know where, so... :P

I recently started reading WATXM and couldn't believe how awesome the book and that group of kids are. I never thought I'd care about X-Kids again after Generation X ended... New X-Men, Young X-Men, and especially Generation Hope were beyond boring to me, with totally unrelatable characters, by and large, with a few exceptions sprinkled here and there. Which is just my opinion, of course.

So I was wondering if anyone else felt the same way?

Who's been your favorite group(s) of X-kids? Here's all the ones I can think of, sorry if I missed anything.

For the sake of fairness, I tried to pick each group's #1 cover, but then I got to New X-Men, which starts with #114 and doesn't even have the kids on it... so whatever, random cover for each. ;P

    New Mutants

    Generation X

    New X-Men/Special Class/Academy X

    1) Generation Hope
    2) Morrison's New X-Men
    3) Young X-Men

On the poll, you seem to confuse the forreal New X-Men "special class" kids with the Academy X kids. Morrison's crew is not the same as the losers created in that subsidiary book.

    It's a tough call.
I'd go... from best to least best:
    1) New X-Men
    2) Wolverine and the X-Men
    3) Generation X
    4) Morrison's 'Special' Class
    5) New Mutants
    6) Generation Hope
    7) Young X-Men

I was thinking it could be either/or because the #1 issue of Academy X has "New X-Men" in huge letters and "Academy X" in smaller letters. What I'm representing here are all-new rebrandings of the X-Kids in an attempt to boost sales; the beginning of Academy X, then, really just seemed like a continuation of New X-Men.

P.S. I'm pleased to see the poll so far is reflecting what I've suspected: that New Mutants, Generation X, and WATXM are more popular/better than the intervening iterations of x-kids.

Well, it wasn't. It was an abomination.

I voted for Generation X. New Mutants was often a terrific comic (just picked up the first Sienkiewicz trade), but many of the actual members were boring - Claremont kept bringing in guest-stars to make up for that, I think.

Then I'm glad I didn't choose their #1 issue as the representative cover for New X-Men here.

I would say Wolverine and the X-Men, but New X-Men and Generation-X are tied for second.

The poll was invalid for leaving out the numero uno class.
