Huh? I didn't think I was lecturing you, or being contentious; in fact, I didn't even think I was necessarily contradicting anything you stated. I'm not saying that Azz would necessarily write the kind of story that Dr. Hurt mentioned--I just found it interesting, and worth mentioning, that a lot of things you mentioned that you value in previous struck me as very similar to what I like about this run. And some of them aren't being talked about as much as the more controversial choices.

I don't see how your comments affect my view that the idea long-term fans want a humorless perfect Diana is a complete and totally uninformed fallacy.
They don't affect it. I basically agree with you about that, especially if you put "most" in front of "long-term fans." And maybe I should have said so--it's just that I was intrigued by the fact that we like some of the same things about different runs, so that's the part of your post that I was eager to respond to. It may not have been squarely on your point, but it seemed relevant enough to bring up, especially since you were talking about finding common ground.

Oh, and my vision is fine.
Ok...my vision is fine, too, but there are a lot of perspectives in arguments and interpretations that are harder for me to see than some others. For example, I didn't see how my post would offend you. In particular, it never occurred to me that "hard to see" would come across as condescending, but it sounds like it did, so I'm sorry about that.

The obvious outcome is not inevitable. The most obvious interpretation is not always the best.

I don't know the right people, apparently. (or I'm not a big enough Google-Monster). It's not unlike me to miss something, though! :/

I don't know 'right people' either. :( As for info, I don't think it has been announced yet (the again, I miss lots of stuff).

    Is it Azz?

It might be nice if they had Gail do it.

That's not something anyone should aspire to be.

    Actually it's Bin Laden.

Riiiight. You just come here, post that it's not Johns and then disappear. If you know more, just spill the beans.

    Hyperbole much?

I think being a poster on this board as well as most comes with people having doctorates in hyperbole.

How many times can the next issue be the 'BEST ISSUE EVER' and so on.

Given that the poster has one of the better -- and more informed -- comics blogs around, it may be she can't do more at the moment without risking her sources?

Boon, ease up, bud. Let's not gear our comments toward a poster, even subtly. Just respond to the topic or ignore.
