I will admit Artemis got a complete story arc assuming she does not fall to the dark side. IMO, you cannot be developed without screen time so yeah screen time matters. I find it absurd you think everyone got equal development not counting Zatanna and primarily Rocket. But to each his own. But be my guest explain how Aqualad, Robin and Kid Flash got equal development to Miss Martian and Superboy.

Yes all character development needs screen time, but not all screen time is character development IMO. And I never said that the character development was absolutely equal, I said it was well balanced, especially in consideration of when and where certain characters were introduced. Meaning of course Rocket did not have as much development as the others but for she got in two episodes was pretty well done IMO.

Still multiple planets get raided and Rann Blacklists all Justice League Members in their territory and no one has heard anything for five years. IMO, that is just does not pass muster. Especially since John is recognizing these aliens that are invading.

Although my biggest worry is this. In S1 the team was 8 but mostly 6 or 7 and yet they could not balance screen time and development.

Little: Zatanna
Some: Kid Flash, Aqualad, Robin
Decent: Artemis and Red Arrow
Lots: Miss Martian and Superboy

How are they going to develop 11 plus fill in the backstory and all that when they could not do 8.

lets just sit back and see how well these new characters are handled. I have faith that they will end up being well developed.

The first episode establishes that Aqualad, Kid Flash, and Robin have been active heroes for years. They know all the important figures in their community, the history, and all that. Robin is the ace, Kid Flash the jester, and Aqualad the monk. MM and Superboy are established from the onset as outsiders who are alien to the hero culture, so them needing a slightly larger arc makes sense. I would argue however that out of all the characters in the series, only Aqualad and superboy received an episode each dedicated solely to themselves.

My prediction is that Nightwing, Ms. Martian and Superboy will be the main focus with each one leading/being in charge of a team of the remaining 8 YJ'ers. I could be wrong, actually i hope i am as i would like to see the newer members get character development (something MM and SB have gotten alot of).
