    Then who are the powerhouses?

And speaking about weapons of mass destruction, what about durability? Who could survive that?

Physical Right now Superboy, Wonder Girl and Lagoon Boy. Beast Boy perhaps depending on Form.
Energy, Miss Martian and Maybe Blue Beetle not enough shown though.

As for who can take a weapon of mass destruction. Not sure what you mean if you mean a nuke. IMO, Miss Martian can phase it but I don't think anyone on the team can tank that.

If BB can deliver a nuke at few steps from his target he probably can survive it.

But, wouldn't a flamethrower be more than enough for MM?

This is not comics. The characters are nowhere near as powerful as their comic versions.

IMO, kinda then again team has three bats so redundancy is the new normal. Sort of Niche though. Wonder Girl for Aerial. Superboy for Ground. Lagoon Boy for Water. Although in a more squad system, you need multiple in every category.

How many energy wielders are on the Justice League? What about people with super strength?
Why would a founder of the team be redundant?

For the Justice League I literally posted the physical rankings that Greg Weisman gave:

Aquaman and a telekinetically enhanced Martian Manhunter and a Quantum-energized Captain Atom are close. I'd put Red Tornado, Hawkman and Hawkwoman just behind them. Neither Flash nor Plastic Man nor Zatanna nor Atom have super-strength, but their powers can sometimes give them more oomph. At the "bottom" are folks like Batman, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Black Lightning, Rocket, though of course, they're all way stronger because of their training than the average human being. And of course, you have the Green Lanterns, who can use willpower and rings to mimic strength too - and maybe even top Superman when they're on their game. Same - in his own way - with Doctor Fate. I think that covers the whole League.
    By extension for the Team:
In terms of physical strength: Superboy and Wonder Girl are probably at the top. Then likely Lagoon Boy, Aqualad, and Miss Martian (as potential for her specie but she as a individual is not as physically inclined, unlike like Martian Manhunter). Blue Beetle is still not very defined, but it is most likely similar to the Green Lanterns, if he uses his suit's powers to their fullest potential he could probably be in the upper brackets of physical strength.

I hope Aqualad returns and they get rid of Lagoon Boy immediately. He's so annoying.

I don't think Weisman or Vietti or the characters themselves care that much about power similarity/redundancy when you have Superman, Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel, and Icon all on the same team.

Aqualad and Lagoon Boy can be on the same team together, in fact I would not be surprised if Aqualad enjoyed having one of his former classmates and Atlantean friends being on the same team as him.

Development of character or development of powers? Because the former is way more personal opinion based. As for the latter they have stated Superboy will never get full Kryptonian powers because of his human DNA. But it really likely does not matter to the Team/League if other heroes share similar powers to him, as long as he is a good operative and cooperative he is a valuable asset in the field.
