Pre Crisis Superboy (Clark Kent / Kal El)
Kesel's Superboy (Kon El)
Johns' Superboy (Conner Kent)
DCnu Superboy
Yes, he was very trusting/naive and could be easily manipulated, he also tended to see the world in black and white, good and evil, mostly due to a lack of first hand experience. Also some of his confidence was just an act he was trying to fill some awfully big boots at the time, they even showed that he wasn't nearly as sure of himself as he appeared to be with the public.
Pull List; seems to be too long to fit in my sig...
ok then who here is actually buying the book then, not just reading it in the shop,or reading someone elses?
Dont mess with the "S"
one of my points was that hardly anybody talks about the new SB,hell i have to literally start a war for anybody to mention him.
also there are to many versions of kon, some fans wont even give any other version a chance.
i think this nuSB is already a good character, and will be great.they have set him up perfectly imo, well besides the crossover.
Dont mess with the "S"
I buy it, but don't enjoy it. Where does that put me on your totem of evil Superboy fans?
I mention and complemented something that I thought he had over 90s Superboy. Read the post 1st man. But it really doesn't because this thread isn't just about he. You wanna talk about his more singularly then start another one of your threads about him or go back to one of your numerous other threads for him. This is for all Superboys.
All next issue might be my last if it sucks but I've bought all of his issues since the new 52 started so I'll thank you not to call my or anyone else's devotion to character into question.
Kesel: "Superboy's favorite color: The primaries— Red, yellow and blue, of course! Music: Alternative, definitely. Garbage, Hole, Barenaked Ladies, etc. Hates Top 40, mostly. (Not unlike myself, oddly enough). He loves adventure, having a good time, also loves being a hero, saving the day, basking in the spotlight. He is a total wish-fulfillment character— hopefully, he leads the sort of life and has the sort of adventures most of the readers would like to have."
In issues of Superboy and Young Justice, he spoke about his taste in music from liking Korn to some hip-hop here and there. Bart was definitely the MTV guy in comparison.
I'm just shaking my head at that. Not just for the nonsensical "reasoning" (which is hilarious considering the posts on the new 52), but that guy is always talking some type of trash about people who talk about liking the Kesel Superboy series or point things out from the book. From "they're stuck in the past" to telling people what they "need to do" to be "true Superboy fans" (whatever the hell that means) to other boldfaced nonsense. Not the first time on here.

Superboy (1994-2002) #9 is out digitally on comiXology now.
This issue has special meaning to me as it is the 1st comic I ever bought. Not only that but it is a really good story.
Pre-Crisis Clark...I really enjoyed the 1980 series (after he left the Legion). I can't get past Kon-El's Vanilla Ice haircut and bad outfit, and Connor's too emo for me.
