This topic has probably already been done, but I'm too fucking lazy to look it up. What are your personal favorite years for comics. Here's mine:
1963-1966: Classic Spiderman and the beginning of X-Men
1973-1976: Death of Gwen Stacy, first story with Harry Osborn as the Green Goblin, original Clone Saga
1984-1998: I know the latter part of this period is one many comic readers' shit list, but some of my all-time favs are in this period. Really a rich period. In order chronologically (well, sort of), there's the Hobgoblin saga, alien symbiote and birth of Venom and Carnage, John Arcudi's The Mask, Aliens, Predator, Terminator, Robocop, The Death and Return of Superman, Age of Apocalypse (X-Men comics on the whole ruled that era), Venom limited series (it went to shit in 1997), Maximum Carnage, Spiderman Clone Saga, Carnage one-shots, Spiderman Adventures (and of course the animated series ), X-Men animated series, Green Goblin series (not very good but fun and very nostalgic), Batman Animated Series, Knightfall, early Spawn.
2002-2004: Marvel Knights Spiderman, early 30 Days of Night, early Criminal Macabre, Venom and Venom vs. Carnage, Beckett's Terminator 3 series
2011-2012: Amazing Spiderman really made a rebound, Venom Carnage, Scarlet Spider, Uncanny X-Force, Monocyte, Rebel Blood, Robocop, King Conan
