probably, and I'm still considering him as a top-artist and an instant hit-seller. A kind of sure value.
But despite the tandem of him and BMB tended to make their proofs (onto DD and certainly SCARLET as well ), MK suffered of his highly-priced status and most of all, as I understand it, from BMB' approach; he did an honest job in terms of story-telling IMHO, but not everybody sticked onto his angle for the character, and this has been the book' main problem.
MK maybe didn't sold very well, it could have been really worse WITHOUT Maleev actually

Yeah. No one says he has to love Fraction's work, but he's got this crazy hard-on for the guy that makes him run into every thread like this one and go off how Marvel is shoving Matt down "our" throats. His titles may currently be "low", but people still seem to like reading them. That must be enough for Marvel.
Of course, if this was DC then it'd be commendable that the company is, you know, willing to put their trust in someone going through a rough sales patch. When DC doesn't immediately cancel a book that has reached those numbers, it's a wonderful day and the birds are chirping. Clearly.
I know Kevin Nichols through a guy that knows a gal. Small world!

As far as Fraction goes my personal opinion of him is that Defenders has been good (with exception of issue 3) and I like Mighty Thor. Whereas I thought his X-Men run was bad, Iron Man started off good but I lost interest after a while.
So he's a bit hit and miss with me lol.

I think most writers are hit or miss.
I probably would have liked Fraction's X-Men if not for Land. Not quite a fan of Dodson, either. His Thor run I plan to get in trade.
