I like sexy Strife, birdy Hermes, hipsta gangsta Eros and his love guns (BANGBANG), bloody centaurs, CEO Apollon and AzzAres. Wonder Woman occasionally.
Summa summarum: yeah, I dig Azzarello's wonder book.

Given how they feel about men, it is possible they killed them just for the hell of it.

Additionally, under the assumption that they're due for another raid -- that would mean that the last time they went out on a raid was approximately 1980, but NOW we have smartphones! You know before the sailors get offed, they're going to take a few interesting digital pics of the goings-on. I'd say this is their last raid coming up before people start thinking that the sailors are completely insane.
The Amazons will also have the problem that there will be records of ships where the crew go missing. Once this would have been okay, like hundreds of years ago, since disasters at sea were sort of common and mostly unable to give a proper explanation of. But for the last one hundred, to maybe even, two hundred years, there will be records of ships where the crew mysteriously disappears and there will be an investugation, and someone is bound to notice that there's a pattern. Though the Amazons themselves might not have realised this though.

I want to believe that Azzarello has thought this all thorugh, but I'm not too sure he has.

I'm not too sure he thought people would read so much into it.. but is it really a surprise given today's older readers? These are logical questions even by comic book standards nowadays.

Unless Paradise Island is magically hidden, in which case it would imply that they do have some Gods' protection! And if so, which one(s)? And if not.......

Not really. Remember, they only do it 3 times in 100 YEARS. I'm sure even more ships get lost by accident, so if they do it 3 random times in 100 years that's impossible to detect.

If you think GPS and Google Earth can spot everything, you're mistaken.

Well.. I wasn't exactly thinking of looking for the missing ship with Google Earth. I was thinking more in terms of looking for Paradise Island!

Do I like Azzarello's "Wonder Woman"?

How can I not overstate my feelings, hmmm.

    HELL NO!

Now I'll go back to mourning the death of Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman does not need a sword or shield. She's Wonder Woman.

I do now. Three or four months ago, not so much.

But the last two issues have been a great read. This is what I was expecting when the book was first announced.

Prolific? Oh please, I've been a member here since the board started and I have yet to see anything "prolific" posted by anybody here.

    pro·lif·ic [pruh-lif-ik] adjective

    1. producing offspring, young, fruit, etc., abundantly; highly fruitful: a prolific pear tree.
    2. producing in large quantities or with great frequency; highly productive: a prolific writer.
    3. profusely productive or fruitful (often followed by in or of ): a bequest prolific of litigations.

Seriously, you are wrong. Most of the people here are the same, if anything most of the more vocal posters here who criticized past runs are gone. And many of the "prolific posters" you are looking for are more interested in other agendas other than Wonder Woman. Regulations have tightened so most of those are now kept into a minimum.

Azzarello said it himself that it's an ensemble cast.

Clearly I have been slacking off...

    Irene: “Twice.”

So have I. I haven't been arguing about sales, interest and others of the like for a while. With all the positives given the book, well there is no need for me to hammer it home... or is there?

I was thinking of the posters in the sticky threads with WW avatars and Wondercentric names that rarely post anymore if ever.
