Default Do you like Brian Azzarello's Wonder Woman?

This is a simple yes or no question, feel free to discuss the results. I am surprised though this wuestion has not been asked before in poll form.

I like Azzarello's Wonder Woman (the character as so far presented), but I do not like anything else (except maybe strife and hermes).

I go back and forth from mildly annoyed to wanting to shove her and her Azzazons into Schrodinger's box with JMS' Odyssey WW and shoot it with Batman's gun from Final Crisis, then put the box on one of the exploding Earth's from COIE.

The reason that I placed the question in a dichotomy, as opposed to a sequence of numbers, is that few people actually provide honest responses giving a product either a 10 or 0 (see Metacritic) just to be polarizing and have the greatest impact. I prefer the Rotten Tomatoes form, where a product is rated by an amalgamation of likes and dislikes instead. This is why movies that are okay (like MI:4) can receive high marks (94%) yet have few people who gave it really high marks. I only want to know if you like it, not what you would rate it.

I love it. I think this is probably the strongest writing of the character in years; and I love the supporting cast, the plot and the world Azzarello is building. The only thing I dislike is the Amazons, unfortunately it's a rather huge bad point on the run and whenever I think about it I feel very disappointed, but otherwise, I love this run.

I like how Azzarello is writing Diana herself, as well as the supporting cast and the pantheon in general. The Amazons...definitely not exactly where I would have went, but I'm intrigued enough to see if he's either pulling a fast one or does something interesting with them.

I like Azzarello's Wonder Woman. I do question some of his choices though. The Amazon method of procreation is beyond questionable. But Diana seems compassionate, cool, regal and powerful without being handled like the perfect, near flawless icon she is often written as. The main plot line is intriguing, and I love the Vertigo, thriller vibe the book has. Much more fun than the standard superhero fare.

And her setting and supporting cast have a real zap to them too. I may not approve of how Amazon culture has been handled thus far, but its been entertaining and got my excitement up. I like Zola. She's got moxie. And Lennox and Hermes and the rest are intriguing as well.

I'm the opposite - love what's going on in the title bar what I consider a lacklustre Diana and the Amazon shaming (and we haven't seen anything else of what's normally considered "Wonder Woman" in this title).

I voted yes, because it is a very good book if I cut out my heart.

It's in my top 5 of new 52 books and I'm liking pretty much all my new 52 books. So I voted YES.

Apparently, I am in the minority here, but no I do not. I hate the new daughter of Zeus origin, the psychotic, man-hating Amazons, and the fact that the Olympian Gods are now pretty much part of the regular cast. All the charm, humor, magic, and dare I say, wonder has gone out of the book. Wake me up when Azzarello's gone and it's revealed that this entire nightmare storyarc was just a massive mind-screw created by Eris/Discord (why do they keep calling her "Strife?").
Thus do I write the first chapter of my new scripture. And the first verse is "Let it all burn."

If its any consolation, it a significant minority in terms of numbers.

    Irene: “Twice.”
