Default Smallville: Season 11 Chapter 2 Spoiler discussion

Wow. Really great stuff in here:

    • Lois working on a Waynetech laptop.

    • Lex Luthor "meets" Clark Kent again.

    • Easter egg nod to Superman: Red Son

    • Pretty good cliffhanger

Lots of other good little bits in here. This chapter had more of the tv show "feel" with the scenes, and the dialogue is spot on. Really cool.

    Thoughts?

They give hints in the story when Lex talks about his sister with Clark. But I suppose if you hadn't seen the show in the later years, it would be confusing.

She looks like Tess Mercer, Lex's half-sister. Lionel, his father, dumped her at an orphanage when she was little (which happaned to be a training school for female furies by Granny Goodness). Her full name was Lutessa. In the show's finale, Lex stabbed her just prior to her using a chemical to wipe his mind. She died moments later.

Default im guessing tess at the end. also you guys catch the bathirl

The laptop made me Emil and should be a foreshadowing of the the hero that BQM teased.

Agree with the above poster just like the smallville show was this comic is a pure love letter to the superman mythos. I thought Clark looked alittle off but that soon changed after he put on the glasses. Been thinking but I cant put my finger on who the red head was at the end of the series. Thta and my only little jiggle was the focus on superman protecting the earth when it has other heroes.

I'm also wondering how aware is the world too superman and the blur being the same hero.

And anyword o. How sales are because I'm hoping this spins off into a justice league series like the batman beyond stuff dis.

And the biggest thing I enjoy is the world of smallville on a technology and history is for all intensive purpose ours expel t the fact that people with abilities have just started popping up in the past 2-3 years ago. A big example of this is the fact that the justice league has a watchtower satalite but for now its only asatalite not capable of people living on it.

Also noticed the Clark disappearing act from the show still here.

Ah. I believe I stopped watching after Lex was considered dead (I don't know if he was or not because I remember him and Lionel running around a jungle) and Lana basically took his role as master planner in Smallville. 'Twas weird, and I basically lost interest then. So if she was around then, I don't remember it.

Haha, yeah...Lex left the show in the Season 7 finale, and Tess started in the Season 8 premiere.

In the words of Don Adams: "Missed it...by THAT much." lol

Most of the world already seems to know. Lois did broadcast from Air Force One and she probably mentioned that the Blurr has now gone public as Superman.

    We won't know yet.

In season eight, it was revealed that Lex survived the Fortress collapsing in on itself, but he sustained a number of injuries. This allowed of the show runners to use Rosenbaum's stunt double and alter his voice to keep Lex on for several episodes. He was subsequently blown up and that was the end of it until season ten. It was revealed that Lex had been making clones of himself, but they were all suffering from genetic deterioration. The first clone to show up was an older Lex and played by a different actor. He died at the end of the season premiere. Then there was clone number two who was made from Lex and Clark's DNA and ultimately became Superboy. In the finale, Lionel assembled a Frankenstein monster type hodge podge of Lex parts that were in good shape. Then offering up his life to Darkseid, Lex was revived. Hence this is why Lex wears the black glove seen in previous seasons.

Tess, meanwhile, is based on Lena Luthor from the Silver and Bronze Age, as well as the Post "Infinite Crisis" continuity. In fact, the Lena name was even referred to.

Awesome comic, maybe even the best Superman comic on the market.

Lead S shield? Why the hell didn't anyone else think of that before now?

Great Clark and Lex interaction and Tess tease. I'm in it for the long haul if it stays this good.

Thanks to all who have written in on this topic. I'm even more excited to get the comic version of this than ever. I just like the feel of having an actual comic in my hands. The book sounds awesome, and cant wait to read it. BQM rocks!

Yes, the first print issue hits in May. I believe each print issue will contain 3 (or was it 4?) digital chapters when it comes out.
