That being said: wow. Word do not do this film justice. It is everything you want and more. I can count at least 2-3 times where I imagined something happening in my anticipation, said to myself "Nah, they won't do that" and then...they did it. Oh God did they do it.

I'll answer any questions, as honestly as I can, granted anyone has any left.

    My one gripe:

    *slight spoiler*
Hulk catching Iron Man should not have been in the trailer. Much more dramatic scene in the movie that was kinda ruined.
Was it regular 3-D or IMAX 3-D?

Regular 3-D. Coupla cool scenes but all in all you wouldn't be missing anything if you went regular.

ok, just a little question. I have been searching but all I can find is rumors. So. EXACTLY how many scenes are in the credits. 2 or just 1.
After the credits with all the different avengers artifacts and the names of the actors who played each of the avengers IS a scene.
but then the white letters on black background appears. is there another scene after those white and black credits?
so 1 or more than 1 scene in the credits?
    Thanks for the answers.

Nope. The scene after the stylized credits is the only one. Nothing after the black and whites. So only one scene.

I've seen a lot of blockbusters and can't recall the last one which succeeded on so many levels. A must-watch in 3D and essential to see on the big screen.

Highest recommendation. For the first time, I felt like I was watching an actual comic book movie, one where the free-flowing, visceral action literally popped off the screen.

My only negative was I felt Cap should have gotten a big moment but that was a really minor nit-pick. Downey Jnr had the best moments but the whole ensemble shone, especially Hiddleston, who I felt delivered best.

I don't know, I thought Cap was great. Loved the part when he was telling the cops what to do and they just brushed him off, then he obliterated a load of Chitauri, and the cop was like "Ok" hahaha.

And when he started issuing orders to the other Avengers, man that was perfect.

Great film, surpassed all my expectations (except on the 3d part: it's useless and only serves to increase the tickets).

The best part about it, alongsides than the fantastic action scenes, great cast, and spot-on characterization? It's actually a TEAM movie, everyone gets a chance to shine- it isn't like the X-men films, a Wolverine and his amazing friends type of deal. The teamwork is pretty solid, they also don't feel like a bunch of random people fighting together.

Default Did you see Avengers (film) yet?

I saw the Avengers movie and I think it was great. Joss Whedon did a fantastic job of creating tension and dysfunction between them all. Also, I'm very satisfied with Mark Ruffalo's portrayal of Bruce Banner/ Hulk; I think he did a better job than Edward Norton. Instead of seeing the Hulk as a completely different persona from Banner, I see him as an extension/ darker side of Banner. Also, I like the decision to make Hulk look more like the actor who portrays him, which didn't seem to be the case in the last two films. Anyhow, what were your favorite scenes and match-ups? Also, who would win the following match-ups?

    • Captain America vs Ironman?
    • Hulk vs Thor?

Won't see it until Friday. Did you stay after the credits to see if there was anything extra? I'm sure there is, there always is.

I watched it in France Wednesday.

I thought it was going to be good, it was completely awesome.
