Does Odin makes an appearance/get referenced?
What about Rhodey?
Are the fight scenes mostly shared by everyone, or does Thor/Hulk/Iron Man do most of the fighting?
No (they do make reference, but never by name if I remember correctly, it's always 'Father')
No. But
spoilers:end of spoilers is in it a surprising amount though.
Pepper
There's a pretty great balance, everyone gets a good action scene, though Hulk's are my favorite.

How was Jeremy Renner in it? One review said he was sleep-walking, but that was the only acting complaint in the many, many reviews I saw (a lot talked about who stole the show). So I guess for the principal actors/actresses how would you rate how each one did (with the material they had no pts off for not enough scenes or anything) on a 1-10 scale?
He doesn't really come into his own until the final act, where he is pretty awesome. He is given a lot of pretty cool stuff to do, but his dialogue is comparatively minimal to the other member so it's kind of hard to judge. I'd say a solid 7 out of 10. Also his 'sleepwalking' demeanor is kind of a plot point.
Yea Renner does get some awesome moments.
Ha, one of the great things about living in the Pacific Rim is that we get to see the Avengers a week before you guys in the States. Here in Hong Kong, Avengers has been a huge phenomenon. There have been ads in the subway stations ever since February and movie exhibits with lifesize statues of the characters in basically all of the major malls. Tons of people here are pumped to see it. Hope to catch it later this Friday (hopefully won't be sold out!)
"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace who fights like ten tigers."
Yea, i loved him. But i think the way it was handled was cool. He went out like a bad ass. And it was a great way to make the Avengers buck their ideas up imo. It served the story and the characters motivations, rather than just being shock tactics like we get in the comics.
Really, Avengers is the best Avengers story, from all mediums, in nearly a decade i think.
Yeah, it wasn't so much that it was handled poorly, its just that I was a big fan of the character, and was sad to see it happen. Which was the goal I guess. So really, its not so much a gripe as it is the move eliciting the desired reaction from me, and it served its purpose admirably.
I was sitting there throughout the entire scene going "no.... they.. they can't do that." I am pretty sure that he'll be back in some capacity. They have to bring him back!
Also, maybe the title should be changed to let people that there are spoilers in the thread.
Superhero Squad Name: Screaming Iridescent Pudding
Is there a way to put pictures/gifs inside spoiler tags?
Edit: Guess not.
