This sounds like a really good idea as it could break up the monotony that comes from buying books every week. The "freak of the week" sounds really fun and reminds of the format of X-Files first season. If a nice balance of fun and progression can be reached with the series it'll be gold. Good luck with everything.
So true. We are harkening back to the early years of X Files, before the conspiracy aspect got out of control. Issue five, in fact, is a one and done story (and it takes place in the 80s, which makes for some extra fun). But that's what we'll be doing, just having fun with this world as much as we can. It'll be light at times, dark at others, funny, gory--whatever fits the story and keeps the series exciting and vibrant. The last thing we want is to get stuck in routine.

    Thanks for the encouraging words!

People are loving that cover! I do as well--we've been very fortunate to have great contributors. I'll post issue #3 in just a bit. It's also pretty damn cool.

And no thanks needed! I love talking about comics and my work!

I meant to say that it immediately reminded me of Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin's Bigfoot footage. Was it inspired by said footage?

Yeah, that's another awesome cover. The animals look like they're made of stone. Thanks for the link.

Fantastic cover! I love Joe's work. Can't wait to get more of the series. I am a little concerned for Murder though, especially with the kill everything demon thing that showed up right at the end of #2!!

Yeah, we were lucky to work with Joe. He did a pretty fantastic job--the blackmail we employed to get him on board worked!
