Great article that I'm glad I took the time to read.

So David Finch needs 3 weeks to finish an issue, plus 1 week for a cover? Hm, he's faster than I thought. His comments on how much having children have changed his work habits was very insightful. That's got to be hard raising children and trying to finish drawing monthly comic books; that's an insane amount of work with little or no free time.

Liefeld haters, take note: even Kevin Maguire owns up to the fact that he hates drawing feet and that they are impossible to draw without reference.

Aspiring writers, take note: if you include in-panel descriptions on your scripts? Sometimes leave out background images so the readers' eyes have time to rest. Now that is definitely something I never would've thought of and will be hard to integrate into my own writing,

According to this CBR article, both Maguire and Burnham were shocked at how fast Finch worked. And that says a lot to me about the level of speed most artists average on finishing a book.

I think Capullo said he whipped one out in a weekend. Though Finch likes to add a lot of detail to his drawings (some say a little to much but still).
