    Came across this interesting story about a Roman archaeological find, which according to the story is the second identified depiction of a female gladiator. Thought it might be of some interest.

    I think I'd like if one or more of any discoveries of the Amazons' past are first encountered by Diana from a sculpture or mosaic. It would really enforce how much they belong to time even though they may seem to be outside of it.

    There was a Golden Age tale that starts with such a discovery. Kanigher also rehashed it in his post-Mod Di retreads.
