Question Quick Poll: would you like to see a 'Complete Mignola Bibliography List' on here?

If you'd wish to express your views on this,

please choose one of the above as being to read your views most closely - or either least remotely.

Just out of curiosity, as to what sentiments would be to exist.
Been called a 'good egg'. Been told to rock, been told to steady myself. Been told to (please) be goin' places.
Chillingly good stuff besides Mignola, Slint, M, Knut and really big chunks of tinfoil?
Half sunk in the mud, with one eye showing / a cracked smile and hair still growing /
your hands miles apart, as if they'd never met / you were the happiest I'd seen you yet

    I voted!

This list needs to happen if this is going to be the one-stop place for everything Mignola.

Is this place even trying to be a one-stop place for everything Mignola, though? I voted yes because, sure, it would be nice to have that resource available but I don't see it being essential or urgent for this list to get made. I see this place being about simply sharing our common love for the Mignolaverse through discussions and news.

I'm not sure why this would be a concern, but if you go back and read the many threads on here (The Hellboy Universe Publishing Order; Mike Mignola (almost) non-Hellboy Check-list (vol. 3); Upcoming "Mignolaverse" single issues and trades; The Greatest Mike Mignola Stories Ever Told; List of all Hellboy prints? Help...; Rare Mignola covers; etc.), is this not a place where more than one person is trying to read about not just Hellboy, but also pretty much anything Mignola?

of course it is about discussions and news concerning our favorite topics (Mignola, Hellboy, BPRD). But you can see from the other threads folks are also craving information about other things Mignola has worked on. And if Kees has asked before and didn't get the support he needed on the idea, that's why I felt it should receive more attention.

How you see the place and what others are asking for may differ - but the good thing with a web board like this is many threads can be started to meet the overall need. Having a combined list that new members may land on while searching for a "Mignola Checklist" would be great for the forum as they discover this is also a place to chat and meet people.

What you say in this line is really excellently put, Bosco.
And I'm kind of thinking Gary_B is saying the exact same thing, although from his own perspective.
Where his point would be, that even if a list would be all sorts of great, he wouldn't feel such to be 'way overdue' or 'vital' for this forum, because this forum would have been pretty completely in-the-know and up-to-par already, or trying to be for a good bit.

So he isn't against any list or stuff, he's merely adding his personal perspective here, something which I asked for with starting this thread. So that we may know such perspectives, from you and Gary and anyone who might be adding his or hers. Not that this thread would be for *deciding anything*, since any thread or list within the rules would go,
just that on this one I inquired after peoples views on it, see?

And I hadn't been asking for such before, as I just kind of assumed anybody would be having their own ways of being a fan, with lists of their own, or stuff would be more handled as per question.
So I personally agree with you and also with Gary.

I'm thinking a complete Mignola stuffs list would be great, because the CBR Search function doesn't always work well - so it's pretty hard if possible at all to be finding info from 2004 or 1996 up to last year. A list would help that.

But, a list would be - well - pretty listy and visible and 'there', like a videogame-walkthrough. I could see not everybody liking such too well. But on the other hand if you do an eBay-search or just google, you get bombarded by Mignola treasure. So why not do such right?
Since I'm located abroad - which is funny, out here we call it 'here' - I've been always very thankful for finding accurate information before making purchases - and that was mostly before the internet.
You should have seen booksellers look everytime I stoicly came walking in (whistling Morricone beteen my teeth) for going:
"I'd like one copy of Fafhrd & the Gray Mouser by Leiber & Mignola, plus a Moorcock, the Prince with the Silver Hand, with Mignola cover. And yes I'd like a bag for that."

On this thread I can feel glad to have started it. It didn't strike me as all that fruitful potentially. But that seems normal for me 'though.
And now I already feel it's not bad at all: people seem to be wanting a good and complete Mignola Biography so far, which seems pretty doable and if people wanna not use it or visit this forum without having to look at it, that seems pretty doable as well.

    So I'm really positive, all-in-all .
(Although emoticons like "" keep freaking me out a little. Too flat or unbelonging somehow, like roadkill on a Sunday stroll. Or fly-poo in a bedroom window: it's not much at all, but when you think about it... I've never seen a fly actually busy at dropping one of them private dots or spots 'though. Bit of a mystery. Maybe they'd be shy, like they couldn't do it otherwise? But is there a Wiki on thàt? Or a Facebook or MSN add covering such? Or even just a Youtube-snippet?)

I would love to see this happen, as a combined list with details such as writing/inking/art contributions noted would make for a great reference to service the many needs. Sure, it will take plenty of work to make it happen. But the end product will be one super collection of information. Hopefully, the majority of the community supports this. It could end up being a sticky.
