"meh" all round. I have a gripe in that surely Havok and Polaris are way overpowered in the context of this team?
It has to be him. I want him to appear as much as possible.
The issue was good, though I'm not sold on the villian's plot either, but I have a feeling that Horn lady is talking out of her ass so the Isolationist aids here. We'll see. Havok and Polaris are still feeling like very special guest stars and not part of the cast, though I did somewhat appreciate their park scene.
I really liked this issue, especially Terry's scene where she reminds Havok that she used to lead the team as well. I don't get why Havok's being a douche, but, like someone else said, that's kinda his thing?
LMAO @ the scene where Jaimie is being hugged. I like Terry's response "Nooooo," and Shatterstar's comment about it being the dupe. More of this gay dupe, please.
Oh, and Layla + Monet < Terry + Monet, but I'm curious to see how PAD makes it work!![]()
Less of M becoming best friends with everyone, more of her humiliating Wolfsbane.

I'm just glad that we are starting to see the new team dynamic in play at last. Everyone seemed to guess that Alex would just walk in and assume command and I love seeing them all give him grief for it! Let's hope that thread continues for a while as I can see a lot of mileage in that friction, both humorous and dramatic!
current top5 - The Unwritten, X-factor, The Walking Dead, WATXM, Amazing Spiderman
"You see a mousetrap. I see free cheese and a F***ing challenge" Introdiction - Scroobius Pip
Not too sure how I'm feeling about Alex and Lorna leading. I don't know, maybe I'm too much of a Madrox fan to see HIS TEAM being led by two characters that just show up out the blue and get put into leadership positions. It's X-Factor Investigations and not X-Factor after all. Plus when are they going to start wearing the XFI belts like the rest of the team? What, is Alex's uniform too cool for the team belt or whatever, or is it coming and I just need to take a chill pill, wait and be more patient? Lol Still even with my gripes, the issue was a great read a usual with X-Factor
It's a rotating art team. Em-Lu (I'm nicknaming him cuz I don't remember how to spell it) will be back for a number of issues as soon as Kirk is done with his current stint.
No, not really. Shatterstar and M are both heavy hitters in the power department, and Strong Guy, Wolfsbanes and Multiple Man worked well with Havok and Polaris in the X-Factor government team (varied powersets, no redundancy, etc.). Havok and Longshot were X-Men together on the same team with Colossus, Rogue, Wolverine, etc., and there was never any issue with Havok being overpowered in that context. I think your gripe has more to do with the current popularity of the characters maybe?
As far as the issue goes, I'm excited to see the team in action- I was looking for a thread for the preview for next issues, which should be fun! I'm very curious to find out who Scattershot is!

Unfortunately Emanuela Lupacchino has definitely left. Both she and Guillermo Ortego (her inker) have confirmed on twitter/facebook/various other social networks that "They Keep Killing Madrox" would be their final arc on X-Factor. This is what they're working on now. Leonard Kirk has top billing now and the second artist for the moment appears to be Neil Edwards.

Ok, so I was reviewing this comic and it had me thinking about the art. Personally, I think Kirk is absolutely killing it. Compare this work to his earlier issues and you can see real improvement. That's exactly what I like to see in a comic artist -- improvement. Don't get me wrong, I love artists like JRJR, but the work doesn't evolve; it becomes stale. The art in this issue is fresh. I dig it.

The first few issues looked rushed, it seems like he is spending more time on this. It's still great either way/

No worries! I did some googling myself and iirc he previously worked on Fantastic Four. You can see a page of his from 237 here. Looks good!
