I hope it's not as cockfocused as the actual series. Avengers is already a boys club. I hope if they do a GOTG, it'll be less about a raccoon and a tree and more about the womenses.

I'm trying to get past it
but I'm struggling with the raccoon. i like to consider myself open minded.
I'm reading the thanos imperative.. I've read some other cosmic stories all out of order.. some annihilation wave stuff
when the rubber meets the road
i can't help but think they will "adapt rocket raccoon" for the movieverse… they almost have to. the problem is, obviously that would upset the core fans. and you really don't want to go into something like this with the existing fanbase upset
but at the same time… you can't seriously expect them to have all thanos, all the obtuse celestial beings, in space…. with a flippin raccoon
just my opinion.. i think its going to be a problem
The Goonies was Richard Donner. Spielberg's only involvement was as executive producer who initially had the story idea; he didn't even write the script.
While you can hold up ET and Empire of the Sun as Spielberg getting the most out of kids as a director never forget that he also gave us Hook and A.I.
Also, Short Round.
But, all of this is actually irrelevant to the question posed and the point made.

If you can, pick up Mantlo & Mignola's Rocket Raccoon mini from the 80s. It got a reprint in the Annihilation Classic collection.
While none of it is referenced in GOTG, it's a wonderful, intelligent little series and it may make Rocket an easier character to swallow. Also, if you've been working under the assumption that Rocket is some sort of regular raccoon who gained the ability to walk & talk, it'll kinda set you right. He's not.
Personally I don't think they'll have any problem presenting a 'small furry alien' as a cast member, especially one who cracks wise and carries a big gun.

The list was in alphabetical order and their was an A named film(Forgot what) under the first Mystery film and I really think its Ant-Man. The other I'm guessing Guardians of the Galaxy.

It was, however, referenced in Annihilators. Though it's better for me to ignore those events, as they muck with the original mini and its characters something awful.
That said, I think the Rocket Raccoon mini itself would be a great movie, especially if it came out of Disney's animation studio.

I am praying that first one is Dr Strange, but I don't think it fits the blur. No letter (g) hanging down at the end :(

Looks like the first blur has "il" in the end. Daredevil reboot probably.
The second one is trickier, the final character looks like a "2" or "3".
I'm thinking Black Widow and Hawkeye since the word came out that BW is not in Iron Man 3.Of course that could change tomorrow. How about the Champions (I think the team was called that) with BW,HE,Winter Soldier, and maybe War Machine together. This would give greater visibility to 3 of the characters that have already been in other movies, and help intro Bucky in his Winter Soldier guise.Maybe the plot could revolve around finding Winter Soldier before his brain washing was deactivated, and bringing him in from the cold.I would rather see Cap out of the picture on this and keep it espionage/noir in tone. However, it could be a powerful final scene to have them finally meet at the end.
