Is the red streak important because it recalls and honours the original creation, do you find it a very distinct aspect of Red She Hulk, or...?

I don't mean anything by it, (not intending to offend, or be whimsical or whatever) I'm just wondering, that's all.

I find the streaks (as well as the yellow eyes) to be very distinct aspect of Red She-Hulk's design. As minuet as they are, it what's separates her from Jennifer Walters designwise with the exception of skin colour. As Fraction's Betty just needs to mix it up more, bit more friction between some members (Namor would be really fun) and more unpredictable actions, we got a taste of in the first issue more of that would make me like his take more.

for the life of me, i can't figure out what you guys like about Manslaughter. he's just the crappiest character design i've seen in awhile. he's not even athletic looking. the guy's supposed to be a team-beater. at least with Mister X, they made him look somewhat serious.

He looked good when Kevin Nowlan drew him on the covers.

Although I liked Peter Gillis' stories, I agree with Nomads in his first post that Perlin's art kept the book from being as great as it could have been.

I read and enjoyed Eric Larsen's Defenders series in the late '90s. It was good in a fun monster mash kinda way.

There are two different Defenders teams. Thinking of the two as the same team is wrong, despite their sharing the same book.

First, the quartet of mistrusted, EXTREMELY powerful outsiders: Dr Strange, Hulk, Namor, and Surfer.

And the quirky team: Nighthawk, Valkyrie, Hellcat, Gargoyle, etc. often with appearances by one or more of the originals (usually Hulk). The "New" Defenders fit here as well althouhg, they could have been called the New Champions as well.

This new series is really just Avengers V234.5.

He's insane. The outfit reflects that. He was kinda Deadpool before there was a Deadpool.

I agree with that. Perlin was capable at best. There was a fill-in towards the end of the run by Mark Badger that was far more interesting that anything Perlin had drawn.

Such comparisons are unfair unless we place both on equal playing fields. Supreme Power NH was MAX, Reg Nighthawk was Comics Code. Equalize settings, then get ready to rumble!

he's stupid looking. Deadpool has a somewhat interesting costume to cover up his stupid. i just really hate Manslaughter(the name sucks btw)'s look. coincidentally, i also hate Mister Immortal's look. it's just a really awful build for spandex.
