Character wise, you know you're doing something bad when Steve Trevor is the most interesting part of a JL book with Superman, Batman, WW, GL, etc. Trevor and Argus sort of are DC's Fury and Shield. I'm personally loving that.

The Shazam backup is good too.
I was taken by surprise so far by the Shazam backup! I think it outshines (in quality and character development) the actual JL book. I found this issue of the JL part to be extremely confusing since I do not read any of the books it referred to, and don't plan on doing so.

I think starting next month I will be doing a preliminary overview of the preview before buying JL again. I used to do that when I was younger. If WW didn't have a substantial part of the book, or if I thought the art was horrible I didn't buy it. Seems like old times!

Did something happen between Steve and Diana or are you just saying they're both in this issue? If so, what particularly happened between Diana and Steve? All I see is pointed out that something happened but everybody seems scared to describe the interaction.

I'm one to say this, but, at least for now, in responding to my question, can we get on topic away from Diana being able to fly and Green Arrow?

the ivan reis spread with WonderWoman was one of the best depictions of Wonder Woman I've seen in a long long long time. Just amazing!

Quick reply: Nothing happened between Diana and Steve. Absolutely nothing. Wonder Woman hardly even spoke in the issue, much less to him.

Ok; just seemed like Wonder Woman might have bluntly turned him down or something, especially going through Brettc's thread.

WW was really impressive in the latest WW issue's fighting scenes. Scenes that wouldnt have been possible if she could fly and just search for Zola unhindered. Flown over that forest, etc.

But no, have her fly because she looks cool posing like a playboy bunny holding an airplane. And now all these skillful fight scenes look pointless, unnecessary, and avoidable. From now on we wont be needing any pole vaulting or precision jumping, or head chopping summersaults. Just typical superman type fights where she fights in front of a blue background.

Meh... I'm still hopeful that she cant fly and Johns just stepped over the line. Azz conveniently doesnt have her fly out of easily avoidable through flight situations.

I don't get it. The fight scenes in WW 8 were not overly impressive. Unless she is given an opponent that can actually give her a run for her money, these scenes with cannon fodder opponents don't make the fight scenes very exciting. It is very apparent that unless she is going to somehow physically confront one of the gods, all these other people/monsters are more like nuisances to her, rather than something that she would have to work up a sweat for.

And doing stuff like a backflip and cutting off heads just doesn't cut it for me. Why doesn't she fly here? That is why I want to see if she can actually fly in her own comic before I can get total satisfaction out of it. I think the editors and writers in the JL aren't on the same page as Azz is concerning her abilities.

Maybe JL 8 happens after WW 10, and maybe Wonder Woman will come back from hell with her powers unleashed or stepped up in some way and will now be able to fly (although Azz probably still won't have her do it very much). After all, th cover to #11 does show her looking pretty godly, with Zeus' thunderbolt spear.

But i loved seeing her do acrobatics and use the environment in her fights. If she does fly she's just gonna levitate and fly away out of situations.

But like Maximum Impact i'm not taking JL seriously. They dont seem to care about these details or consistency. In one issue she needs a lift but Superman doesnt and now she flies holding a plane.

I'm not convinced till i see her fly in a book that actually cares about this stuff.

I loved that, as well as her fight on the London bridge. Directing her fall to get to centaurs, pole vaulting, throwing the car, etc.
    Why doesn't she fly here?
Because flying would solve all her problems and she'd just avoid any obstacles. She's also wouldnt need to think during fights. We'd constantly get her in flying poses where she punches things. Meh.

    I think so too.
