Yes, it is definitely not the 616 Kurt. That thing with AoA Iceman would be like Kurt Wagner killing Kitty or something and watching while she died slowly, begging for mercy. To be honest, I like very much that this is clearly not the same character. It would have been pointless to bring an alternate version in just to be a clone of the original (and also leaves room to maybe one day resurrect the original). I'm glad Remender seems to be fleshing out his story a bit as well.

A really nice one and done issue.

It's great that Remender can give characterization in both AOA Kurt and AOA Bobby in such a small amount of space. It's always nice to see what Remender can do to Iceman. I was hoping that Kurt can spare Bobby.. But I understand why he did it at the end. And oh.. that death scene is just disturbing.

There's also follow up to Otherworld arc. We finally found out what Betsy sacrificing to the Demon Krokwell in order to save Fantomex. It's her sorrow and ability to feel. That explains the coldness we saw after she killed Jamie. Wow. She sacrifices alot for Fantomex.
I'm not sure I'm liking Betsy's development here..but it's interesting for sure..

How? I'm not she saying she will or she won't but how does any of this make it sound like she will be the one to die? For someone who supposedly would rather she lived, you are so eager to interpret anything and everything as confirmation she will die and you don't even acknowledge the possibility that anyone else could die.

Nightcrawler was not joking around...... I am very pleased and glad this Iceman plot won't be dangling. Now bring on Shadow King, Lady Deathstrike, and the Reavers!!!!

Very happy they dealth with AOA Iceman quickly and hopefully permanently. There are too many alterna muties running around as it is. It was a emotional fight I felt the friendship, how hard it was. The pleading at the end was really touching I thought.
