Okay seriously, what is the deal with this British Betsy versus Japanese Betsy? Is it because of the Claremont-Lee debacle? Lee updating Betsy into an Asian body, while Claremont's version was a telepathic incest joke from a well-to-do family?

I have no clue , Remender is doing everything he can to separate her from who she was. Not having her choose her old life, not choosing Brian over her XFriends, excepting help from the Orge her father banished and then killing Jamie in Brian's body. There is no way in gay hell she is going back to being British. If she dies, she dies.

I can understand the nostalgia for British Betsy. She had potential, but compared to the at time female characters. She didn't stand a chance..... Plus Emma pretty much is the faux version of British Betsy. There really is no point in her return to original. The transformation into a Eruasian ninja was the best thing for her. Was it original or unique, no. Was it racist and a bit lazy, maybe. Whatever it was done for it helped. She stood out to me more than my at time first favorite, Storm.

The only thing that could work IMHO is reviving Revanche. They could try to make her the British counterpart, but alas I feel she would blend right into the background.
