Well Remender had said in the Final Execution interview that Betsy and Wolverine would come out of the arc changed and in a completely different place. He also said someone was dying after issue #27 (not in issue #27). The fact that Fanto is chained up looking bleak on the cover of 27 doesn't indicate it is him. The fact that Betsy is alive and well on the cover of 28, doesn't indicate she's safe yet. It may not be until like issue #30 that someone bites it. On a personal level, I'm still hoping it is Fanto or Deathlok, verses any of the others though.

If Betsy goes villain, that would definitely be a completely different place. That could well be it, and she pulls the trigger on Fanto.

Or if Fanto dies, it might mess with Betsy's head even more as well, but as far as impacting Wolverine, only the degree to which it might impact Evan, I would guess. He has lost friends before, and closer ones, without it driving him over the edge or taking him in a different direction.

Did anyone else think of the impact Mystique (on the cover of 27) might have on AoA Crawler? He was shown to be pretty nasty this issue and stated that he would have been willing to see this world burn just to kill his friend. Maybe he jumps in with his Mom and that prompts Wolverine and Bets being in a different place. (Unlikely yes, but stranger things have happened.)

LOL. I guess I will too, if she does indeed die. This is exactly I never joined anyone else in ruling out the possibility of her dying, not even after seeing the covers of 27 and 28. I didn't want to get my hopes up in case she did die.

Who knows what's up with Psylocke? They're being coy about the bodyswap--I'm assuming she's still Asian until I hear otherwise. I wonder if there's any way that the British/European body Jamie recreated could have possibly come alive somehow and left "our" Betsy back in Otherworld? That could explain why she's so cold and unemotional...

No way is the Sinister Iceman that easy to kill. And I don't buy the bit about trapping him in a place with no moisture--such a place doesn't exist on Earth. Even if that were true, and it isn't, there was plenty of moisture in AoA Nightcrawler's breath and body! How cool would it be if Sinister Iceman transferred himself into Kurt and exploded him from within when he was done reforming?

Well since fake Bobby didnt revert to Human form it seemed there was just enough moisture around to keep his ice body but not all of his extravagant uses of his power like the ice eybeams and shiz which were super cool

Yes, that's basically why I never saw those covers as confirmation of Fantomex dying. Although I think whoever does die will die in 28.

even if Fantomex does die, the guy has more outs for a resurrection than Wolverine. separate brains, bodies, and nervous systems, access to all the technology the World can handle, and a spaceship that's in love with him.

plus he's easily one of the best new characters in the last 10 years. he's due for a bout on the shelf for 12 issues.

She's in the Asian body and has been the whole time. She never switched back to the Caucasian body.
