Default Galactus vs. the Jedi Council

I suppose we could use the Council from the prequels. They meet Galactus on a desert planet and have to fight him to the death. Do they have enough power between them to take him out, or does he eat Force power for lunch? I think as a team they might have a...decent...chance...?

They're not capable of making Galactus notice them. Which is good for them I guess.

Supposing that this isn't locked before I post this, I'll mention that a combined Jedi effort with the full glorious madness of the EU behind it would be enough to make Galactus notice them.

Not beat him, mind. But he would definitely notice them.

Okay, guys, well I suppose I'm not well-informed, but help me out. What's he going to do to them? I know he's massively powerful, but could they collectively block his attacks? Could they collectively, I don't know, knock him on his back with a Force push?

The power to destory a planet is insignificant when compared to the power of the Force.

That being said, the Jedi Council of the prequels would be doomed against Galactus. The Emperor had weakened them through a conflict of his own making, thus causing them to partly lose thier connection to the force. Yoda stated as much.

When Galactus gets serious in tussles, galaxies get destroyed. Nothing the Jedi Council has done has shown them to be anywhere near that level. Full power, whatever, they still get evaporated the instant Galactus decides to turn his attention on them.

Well, yeah, of course. In the same sense that one would notice a dinner bell.

In any case, this is a horrific curbstomp against the Jedi Council, and really not going to provoke much good discussion. Thread closed.

I suggest all people familiarize themselves with Rumbles Rules. Statements that aren't backed up - like those of Vader's regarding the Force and Planet Destroying - are not evidence.
