Those screens and video make it look like Mass Effect. I know the article alluded to the Mass Effectiveness of the game, but I thought I was looking at stills of Tuchanka and Reapers in the background of some video shots.

Hopefully it will have some RPG elements. Star Trek is much more about tough moral dilemmas and solving problems through investigations, reasoning, diplomacy, and sometimes trickery, with combat being a last resort. Heck, even with the combat in Trek, there's often quite a bit of planning and strategy involved, at least with ship to ship engagements.
