AvX #2 *Spoilers*

Pretty much nothing... most of us aren't going to read any Bendis-penned books. Similar to what happened when Fraction took over, sales of whatever comics he's on will take a huge nosedive. Anything that's unrelated and halfway decent will probably see an upswing in sales.

I'm not so certain she's Sorcerer Supreme of Limbo anymore, either. She's had her buttocks handed to her and kicked out of Limbo so much in recent years.

Yeah they seem to be both nerfed. She's an ex-ruler and has most of her soul back. both of them are ex-sorcerers supreme. who knows this might turn into Classic strange vs Darkchilde. This battle should have one whole book devoted to it and its not even on a avx vs issue. We get spidey or thing vs colossus and magik vs widow....seriously marvel shape up.

She is the current Sorceress of Limbo and is recognized as such by its demons. She doesnt reside over there bc she chooses not to as part of her redemption to prove herself to the X-men, but that hasnt changed her status as ruler of Limbo

They just want tighter scripting and depth. I don't mind mindless action either, but I think wanting works that stand the test of time is reasonable.

I understand what they want but the name of the book is Avengers vs X-men..

The first issue didn't have any action and was all set-up, it would have been piss poor of Marvel to give us another issue of more talk.

The series is twelve issues and I am pretty sure there will be a lot more meaningful discussions.

Yeah, but said "Bendis" book was on my friend's iPad... I asked him if I could take a look, as I was a bit interested in how all this would turn out. 5 minutes later, I was shaking my head in dismay and wondering what the hell I'd just read. As for "most of us", that does refer to X-Men readers in general... go over to the X-Men boards, or any online X-Men forum, or just go talk to an X-Men fan that you know in person; you'll find that the majority don't think very much of BMB, especially after he's mangled the Avengers franchise for so many years.

But doesn't her having more of her soul lessen her dark magic? thus weakening her...she's always her most powerful when she went to the darkside. Pixie got more powers when lost part of her soul. Plus she has a bomb strapped on her.

What? So the Avengers take a lot of time to coordinate a large scale attack against the X-Men and instead of crushing them instantly, the X-Men are putting up a good fight. I don't see the point you're trying to make here. Iron Man wasn't consciously hacking the X-Men's systems, fighting, and taking Emma out simultaneously. His suit is a supercomputer. I'm sure he set it to task and didn't have to think about it. If anything I think it speaks volumes about the Avengers inability to fight as a team effectively. They had all of the advantage going into this, and the fight isn't really in anyone's favor currently.

Nah, as long as they slap a banner on it saying "AvX" they'll get people buying everything. About a 1/4 of the people at my LCS do that with events, gawd bless 'em.

Tony's ambushed by Magneto, who's in turn punched to the mat by Quicksilver (who runs about 347 miles in 3.5 seconds to utopia.

Now this comes as a big surprise. With all the build-up and preview to this event, there's was no mention that Quicksilver would be involved and I know he doesn't get on with his father but it is also a bit surprising that he would choose to side with the Avengers against his fellow mutants. He's always been big on the 'them against us' theme.

When does this event take place relative to IRON MAN? because in IRON MAN #515, Tony Stark is no longer IRON MAN, and it looks like PEPPER POTTS OR RHODEY will become the NEW IRON (WO)MAN.

Sorry. If he's a computer then he's still not actively doing those things. They're likely running as background processes or were done before he started fighting. The point is that Iron Man wasn't sitting there hacking away while disabling Emma's psi abilities and fighting Magneto.

Romita Jnrs art I know he has his critics but I really enjoyed his art in this issue.
Fight scenes overall were quite good imo.
Interesting bit with Scarlet Witch walking away and we see her diary.
Hope saying sorry for breaking Transonics nose and then actually doing it lol.
Seeing Magik go into limbo to fight Strange was cool.
Hope completely owning Wolverine was kinda cool.
Seeing Hope running on water while in flames was nice.
Seeing Phoenix at end was cool.

Overall even though some of the characterisations were a bit off (least that's how it felt to me) I thought it was pretty good issue and I give it a 8.5 out of 10.
