    And it's almost like I never said the story had concluded. It's almost like I was commenting on the story we have thus far. Almost.

    The story didn't wait 'til issue #9 or beyond to give us Apollo or Ares or Heph or Hermes or Eros or Hades or Poseidon or even newly minted demi-god Lennox. Zeus is missing, so he obviously doesn't show up, but is talked about much. So how many of the 'main' male gods got left out thus far? Dionysus perhaps (but he's drunk). Who else am I not thinking of?

    I just think it's a little noticable that so few ladies have shown up thus far.

    Also, building off Dr. Hurt's "Hellboy" idea: I'd love to see other pantheons involved. I don't think DC should limit WW to just Greek mythology; that's a mistake, imo.

    Diana disappoints once again. I seriously wish she aloud Lennox to go with her. Hermes and Zola were amazing though. Can't wait for the next issue.

    in popular culture, this is why;

    Hades is always depicted as a Satan/Lucifer character

    the Underworld is always depicted as being like Hell

    In both cases they are very different

    If this this run ends without ever having Lennox use that minigun, my heart will break.

    I'm not speculating on his personality or his motives. I've just concluded that the only way to make sense of his story, or of the reboot, is that he intends to turn the character, her former background, and her former supporting cast into twisted reflections of what they once were.

    Is Hephaestus in league with Hades and did he setup Diana? He must have known she couldn't block those bullets and that Hades would know how to use them.

    I don't think either of them are the biggest fans of the rest of the Pantheon, so they may be up to something.

    But anyway, the question of whether this sudden love (and I do think it's the love of friends, not romantic love) is true to life is different from the question of whether it's developed gradually in the book. And as I outlined above, it IS developed gradually in the book, from friendly teasing and protection in the first couple of issues, to Wonder Woman recognizing Zola as a "girl in the middle of nowhere) (and thus, implicitly, a kindred spirit) a little later in the second issue, to a very intimate conversation about family in the fourth issue, to Wonder Woman actually calling Zola a member of her family in the fifth. If you think I'm "reading in" something that isn't actually there, fair enough--it's not like I've never done that before! But can you tell me which of those steps that I mentioned is not actually in the book?
    It's just too fast for me. Folks complained [bitterly] that Diana fell for Tom to fast and that took 18 months before she gave him flowers. I agree the love here is not meant to be romantic but considering how much [or little] we have seen them interacting it seems to me not enough to have gone beyond friendship. As to adversity - they have been in two dire situations [both with the Centaurs].

    I think Azarello is describing the sort of bond you have between Holmes and Watson but I dont think that would have come out of their very first case together.

    Well here is a thought.

    If she were to do anything with Hades, even as much as getting naked, while under the influence of the love bullets...in other words she were being magically coerced...

    Oh yeah, if that happens you are gonna here the "R" word from folks all over the world wide web.
