What's wrong with clean?

I'd like to see Superman vs Batman done the New 52 style, and throw Wonder Woman in there too. I hope this turns out to be Superman vs Batman vs Wonder Woman vs one or more villain. I'd like to see the big 3 at war, but also with a villain in the mix too.

so basically Civil War leading into a Secret Invasion/Dark Reign type deal

It's probably just a war against Darkseid led by the trinity, where the trinity steps up and leads for the first time the Nu continuity.

Maybe Trinity has something to do with the three separate universes.

I can't fathom how anyone could be interested in this, though, until creative teams are announced. Once I find out that it's Grant Morrison or Brian Azzarello or something writing this, then I'll be excited!

how would slowing the earth's rotation cause all those changes? Sure the Earth's rotation being slowed or stopped would cause a lot of ecological damages and effect the earth's orientation to he sun and other planets, but I don't see how it would have caused the alterations of so many past chronological events. I'm curious to here this theory now

The Earth is in a different position, so Superman's ship hit Metropolis instead of Smallville, Abin Sur landed in a more survivable location, and so on.

Not really. I was thinking more like Superman/Batman Public Enemies with Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman also fighting each other because of something of importance being on the line for each hero. And at the end of the war somebody will lose something of great importance, but done in a way where a great sacrifice was unavoidable.

oh okay I get it now........... interesting theory, clearly that didn't pan out, but its certainly an interesting one, makes more sense than Barry's mom not dying effecting some of the things it did.

Granted most concepts have the potential to be great stories if written well. Do I have faith an event following these guideline will be...............absolutely not. Unless Morrison or Warren Elis is writing

yeah, thats what i was thinking (hoping for). DC doesnt have as 2 superhero teams full of "big name" characters like Marvel, but they can match up different versions of the same characters. an Earth 2 vs Prime Earth event would be pretty cool.

I don't know what's funnier.

People talking up a VS event like AVX that was absolutely SHREDDED on these forums (i don't think DC will blatantly copy a marvel type event anyway) or the fact that some are already getting worked up over an event that we know nothing about.

I have absolutely no problem with the big event. The business is what it is.

Good or bad, 90% of us are going to buy them simply because comic fans are like the long suffering wife that always go back to the abusive husband.

But i don't expect DC to do anything like Civil War. DC generally goes for the higher concept event (like Flashpoint or Final Crisis).

How successful they are is open to interpretation but generally i think DC will do better to stick to the high concept.

You know who could be also called a Trinity?

Ultraman, Owlman and Superwoman.

Maybe a rebooted Crime Society is invading the main Earth and they bring along evil versiOns of the JL, JLD or perhaps stormwatch
